That's good news Jewel!
This particular thread probably helped us by making me mindful of infection. My DS11 is an Asthmatic and has been on his medication for a while now. I am always careful about the tubing etc and go the extra mile and rinse everything off in soapy hot water with bleach and then let it air dry before the next use. Technically the extra bleach disinfectant step is only for people with Cystic Fibrosis, but I do it anyway because I really can't imagine a good reason not to do it. Anyway, I was getting tired of all the bleach, it was messing with my hands and I was considering dropping the step. That is until I read this, so because of this I kept it up. Well, thank heavens I did keep it up because last week I had a spot I thought was a spider bite. But then I had more, and some more. Turns out I have a staph infection! I am my DS's main caregiver so I am always all over his stuff. Thank goodness I've been bleaching and washing so much. I could have so easily transferred the staph to his lungs by handling his equipment with dirty hands and thankfully didn't. I'm on heavy antibiotics and it's still on me but I'm keeping myself covered and using gloves now. Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this. HE really does work in mysterious ways, you never know what influences people in a positive way huh? More prayers on their way from here.
