Kyree continued to have a tough day today. The blood oxogen level continued to be low. They are switching t a "jet" vent to see if that helps. If I understand this right it gives more breaths per minute and forces air down a bit farther in his lungs. If that works then great. If not then I think they are going to use the heart lung machine.

Prayers that the jet vent works to bring health to his lungs and causes no harm. Prayers that he has a calm healing night. Prayers for his mom to get some rest and to stay strong.

Thanks again everyone. His mom knows that you are all praying and she appreciates it. I know, when Kyree is better, that he will appreciate it too!

Prayers said for Kyree and also and prayers for his mother and his family.... I am an ICU RN and this is going to be a long road..it is great that his mother has a great friend in you Jewel..I will pray as much as I can...please keep us posted...tell his mother to try and rest and try and eat, I know she is not thinking these things but she will need her strength when he is home so she can take care of him... again for Kyree and his mother

The "jet" vent did not work out for Kyree and things looked bad but they were able to get him switched back to the other type of vent. They started a different treatment involving nitrous oxide (??) and were able to get his blood oxogen levels back up. It sounds like they have him close to stable again. It has been a roller coaster day for them today.

Please pray that Kyree has a stable and peaceful night. Please pray that his lungs continue healing. Please pray that any further treatments help him and cause no harm. Please pray for comfort and peace for his mom. (I haven't mentioned it but Kyree has an older brother - he is not at the hospital but I know he is worried for his brother. Prayers for comfort for Kyree's brother would also be helpful)

Things can go down hill so fast it is scary and but for the grace of God and skills of the medical team I don't think I would be writing this update.
