Friend allowed to enter Pop resort?

we are staying at Pop Century resort with no car. we have a friend that is in Orlando that wants to visit us while we are staying at the resort. Are they able to get to us from the 'outside' and meet us at our resort just to meet for like a lunch or dinner or something?

Yes. At the gate they will be asked who they are visiting and then allowed to enter.

Someone will need to advise also but I believe if they arrive and know your name and possibly room number that they would be allowed to enter.

I can confirm; the guard at the gate will ask who they are visiting. No need to know the room number.

Just at WDW in AoA with brother at Pop without a car. I just pulled up to the gate and said I was here to pick up my brother. No issue. This was also the same on our family trip for the past two years. I even arrived early one morning to take him and sil to AK for EE, thinking I might have a harder time due to the skyline, and I was waved through with no other questions.
