Fridge Status Check-in *SEE FIRST POST

Very frustrated...in 8500 building in POR, cked in yesterday, no fridge, asked for $15 refund, and they acted like they had never heard of that until I told them another cm had mentioned it already (and I had already heard about that on the dis boards). They gave me the credit for last night, put in a priority request for one to be delivered today and it didn't come...again had to request it, and request for another $15 fee be posted to my acct. last night the lady at check in actually told me they don't come with my room unless. I request it! I told her moderates always have refrigerators!

I had the same experience as you getting the credit yet jsw1114 had an easier time. I'm happy for her because I was made to feel like I was asking for the moon:confused3 I have no idea why they pretend that they know nothing about the credit when clearly they do.
Checking out of POR today. Had 2 rooms in building 14. Had fridge in 1 room, went to concierge the next day and asked for credit on room without. Was very nice and gave me credit for all seven nights.
 
I posted earlier, at POR Magnolia building. Called about a refrigerator but was told today they do not have any even for medical use. I politely asked about the $15 per day discount and Matt did not hesitate to give it to me for the 7 nights we are here. He said it will be credited to our account.
 
We r at POP right now in Bldg 5. Checked in last night & asked for a fridge bc son (26 months) drinks a LOT of milk. CM called & said we wanted a fridge bc we had a baby. She said no problem. Got to room abt 20 mins later & we had a fridge. Not sure if it had already been placed or if they just brought it, but it was cold & that's all I care about.
 

Just got back from ASMo. Had connecting rooms, 1 had a fridge and 1 didn't. We were in the Toy Story section. Our friends had another room in the same section with a working fridge.
 
We are checking into POP 10/2 preferred room. Please update if you know status....I've read the recent couple posts, it doesn't look like we'll have one. I will be asking for a credit!!
 
Just checked in to bldg. 6 at POFQ. Working fridge in the room, said at check in if there wasn't one, to call and they would bring one. :)

It seems from the last few updates that POR is the least accomodating for fridges or giving the credit. Not encouraging as we check in to POR soon!

Well, they were very accommodating and brought a fridge to our room at POR within a couple of hours after we checked in and discovered we had no fridge in our room but I did show my daughter's medicine that needed to be refrigerated to the front desk CM. The cast member said they were doing their best to accommodate all medical requests for refrigerators.
 
Rats! We're staying at All Star Sports in a couple of weeks & we just received the dreaded "refrigerator letter" in the mail. :( Oh well...we'll just plan on rolling with the punches & having fun regardless! Packing a small soft-side cooler to use as "plan B." ;-)

Staying at Pop Oct 19th, got our letter today :(
 
POR Bayou room 3801 had a fridge! No nite, worked great!
 
Just returned from 7 nights at POR (Magnolia building) and as I reported earlier we had no frig. :( I called the front desk a couple days after we checked in and was told no refrigerators were available, even with medical need, but he said he would credit our account $15 per night, so $105 total and it did show up on our final statement.

But it was quite inconvenient not having a refrigerator. With high temps and humidity it would have been nice having cold beverages available, without having to go back to the room (after visiting a park) to grab our mugs and go over to the food court for cold drinks.

Also, I wasted so much food because of not having a frig. The Caesar salads were so big, I could eat about half before I was full. Would eat a few more bites just because I knew I couldn't take it back to the room, but would always have some to throw away. And the ribs from Pecos Bill's, they were HUGE and I had 1-1/2 that I just couldn't eat. It killed me to have to throw them out! :(

I would have been very upset if we had not gotten the credit on our bill.

And I really don't even understand what is taking so long to put new refrigerators into the rooms. :(
 
My room at Pop (1470) was replaced on the 23rd and it looked like they were taking care of all of Pop building one between the 22nd and 23rd.
 
We are checking into POR on October 4th. Called POR 3 times to confirm we will have a fridge for medical reasons. We were assured we will definitely have one. 6 days until check in and have not received the dreaded fridge letter. Will report back!

Me, too. But either way I'm not too worried and don't put much stock into that letter.

There have been several reports this week of fridges being replaced at Pop. Although there are still lots to do, I would think they will finish with the resort before we arrive in 22 days...or 3 weeks from tomorrow. Yay!! And even if they aren't all replaced at Pop by then, my guess is it will be a bit easier to get one on request than it has been the last few months. Several people have indicated they magically got a fridge this week as soon as they inquired about a credit....
 
I just called WDW and spoke to a CM about refrigerators being replaced at CSR and she told me that all rooms now have working fridges. Hope that is true because I am placing an order with GG as we speak.

I'm checking in POR Oct 28 and got my dreaded fridge letter today. Still have hope, though!
 
For what it's worth, I called yesterday to request a fridge for my upcoming trip in December and was told that within 2-3 weeks, the fridge rollout should be complete and all resorts and rooms should have fridges again.

I know that doesn't necessarily coincide with some of the letters going out, so who really knows, but maybe there is a little bit of hope...
