Freshman tailback helps Irish stun Michigan!

Hopefully, this is the start of a good season. Following the loss to BYU, I wasn't too sure. Michigan State in two weeks, and on the road, OMG! Notre Dame football, you have to love it!

I don't follow ND but glad for the supporters that they won...

As a Michigan fan, I'll give credit where credit is due, and the Irish played a better game yesterday. (However, I think more of the credit goes to the ND Defense than to the tailback)

I'm not too worried about this season yet. Michigan needs to do some improving, but I don't think it will be a bad season. Lloyd Carr needs to get rid of his patented "guaranteed to be blocked" punt formation though.

Living about 2 hours from South Bend, I have many ND fans around me. (I always did admire the progam and its loyal alumni). Maybe this will stop all the talk about "dumbing down" the curriculum to get better football players

I have to agree, it was a great game!! It was kind of neat because before the game we had just finished watching Rudy on a different channel.

All of the Ohio State fans love Notre Dame today . OSU doesn't look good, but

watched the Notre Dame pregame, and the band's rendition of "God Bless America" brought chills down my spine. The entire stadium was singing it as well as the national anthem.

As for Michigan, you have to give them credit for playing a tough schedule year after year.
