French Quarter to Riverside walk?

I was just wondering how far the walk from the French Quarter to the Riverside (food court) is? Thanks

It's a good 15 minutes (depending on how you saunter or speedwalk). It's a very pleasant walk along the river.

You could also catch a bus (going to anywhere) and usually the first stop is the main POR stop which drops you right by the main building where the restaurant is located. Check with your driver first though because sometimes the bus will head straight to the designated park instead of doing all the POR stops.

Although it has been about 2 1/2 years since we have been there, I don't recall it being 15 minutes. I would say more like 5 minutes but maybe DH and I are just speedwalkers

According to the water taxi "driver" - it is 1/2 mile each way... but as ScottJoy said... it depends on where you begin...

I have made this walk several times and it is no more than 10 minutes from Building 5 FQ to the River Roost at Riverside. We go to see Bob Jackson every visit, or to eat at Boatwrights. Of course my 6 year old sometimes gets diverted with a duck or bunny. If you are in reasonable health, it is very enjoyable. Definitely faster than the internal bus unless you just get lucky and it is at the stop waiting for you.
