Thanks for the reply. I sent an email to my congressman. I don't expect tickets, in fact someone else earlier on this thread wrote that they heard back that all tickets in June are gone. My 11 year old son really wants to go to the space center, so we may have to fork over the money and go. Being a science teacher myself it would be tough to pass on this educational opportunity for my family.

I got into the game too late. I received a response that there were no tickets available in June, just as had been reported earlier on the thread. I figured I"d try anyways. I was able to find a $5 off coupon that can be used for multiple people as we will still visit the center.

Just got our confirmation email this morning for September 24, 2011 for my DH and myself.

I requested last year in July but was told I would not hear until April 2011.

I contacted my congressman in Feb, and they did not know about this as well. they made some calls and then knew what to do. I got my email confirmation yesterday for 8/15. I got 4 tickets (I needed 5), and printed out the $5 coupon for us to use when we buy the last ticket.

I had a nice email reply yesterday from Oregon Congressman Kurt Schrader's staff assistant and tour coordinator. He is contacting KSC. I was a bit worried after reading some of the messages here that either the office wouldn't know anything about the tour tickets or I'd get the "unethical" line. Luckily, it seems like this gentleman is knowledgeable and was very personable to boot! Hoping to hear back that we have tickets for September!

YEAH!! We just received confirmation. We received four tix for August 11. They are from Maryland Sarbanes. We requested in February for our August date and my girls will be so happy!! Now I can book our hotel

Hi I just found out today we got our KSC tickets...my contact said that they just started doing August dates, so if you are an august peop like we are, then you should here SOON!!~~ Super Excited and what a great little FREE treat!!!

I received a call today stating we will be receiving 4 complimentary tickets for September 9, 2011 and that an email will come shortly with all the details. I requested them in March. I'm so excited! It seems like many people received calls today.

Just a quick question:

We are going down next April (2012). Is it too early to request tix now?
I saw one post about a 6 month window but didn't notice that many more talking about time frames.

What do you think?
Should I email my rep not and try to explain everything now so if there is a 6 month window, she will know what to do when the time comes.

That's our plan as well! I did send a quick email to follow-up with the aide I had been corresponding with after I saw your post. Definitely, fingers crossed!!

Still no update for me when I emailed again today. I had put the request in several months ago (12/10/2010), the local office submitted it at the six-month mark (3/24/2011), and I followed-up when I knew you had received your confirmation for that day. Still no reply, so I emailed my contact again at our local congressman's office. This was today's reply (now less than five months out):

"The NASA liaison checked and said he hasn’t heard anything yet but that “This could have something to do with the order and timing in which the requests were submitted both by them to you, from you to me, and from me to the Kennedy Space Center.” He also told me to check back any time so I will check in again in a few weeks if we still haven’t heard anything. Have a good weekend."

My sisters family just heard a couples weeks ago that they got tickets for the middle of August. Maybe they have not processed your request yet?
