The last time we visited Disney in 2006, my son went to Innovations and could look at a board with lots of pins on it for a few seconds and pick a pin for free.

Does anyone know if Disney still offers this for kids and what is the age range for the kids?

Thanks so much!

There was a board for trading at EPCOT and I'm not sure if it is still there. But a pin where you got a pin without trading? Don't remember that ever existing.

My last trip was in June and I didn't see anything like this. Sorry! :confused3

You must have just met a nice trader that was willing to give a pin to your son. Disney allows pin traders to set up in the park to trade pins. I have seen a few give pins away to kids.

You went into the large gift shop on the left of the Big fountain and it was only between a certain time - like 5:00 - 6:00. There was a Disney employee in the shop in the corner with a large board covered with a piece of fabric. The board was probably 4 ft. by 4 ft.

My son remember's now that you got 1 minute to look at the board and then they covered it up again and you gave them one of your pins to trade with one on the board. There was probably about 50 - 75 pins on the board.

Does anyone know if they still do this? Thanks!

We were there in Early Jan/08. My son was able to get 2008 monorails pins he needed to finish the set. (He needed two and they were on that board)

You're referring to MouseGears. Yes, they still do this, usually inside, right by the doors closest to MissionSpace, off of the walkway that goes to the MissionSpace 'plaza'. Not sure about the time, you might want to check with the store itself or ask at Epcot's Pin Central (between the 'ball' and that fountain).

agnes!
