Free Parking for Florida residents

Florida residents* will receive free parking after 6pm at Universal’s CityWalk from November 1st thru December 24th.
*Proof of Residency is required- Valid Florida License or ID

This looks to be a trial offer. If it's popular, maybe they will extend it to other non-peak times. I think it will be great for those who want to visit Citywalk to shop, party, eat, or go to the movies.

I think they should have done this years ago!.. I could never understand why they charged locals to park with they just wanted to go out to eat and take in a movie. I have always had my AP so it never bothered me, but I can see how it would make a huge difference to some young adults going out to eat and to the movies, or even some older teens driving over for the movies. Now with mini-golf going in, that will bring more there too. I say Kuddo's to Universal for finally realizing that some cannot go to the movies in that complex because they may not be able to afford to park.. some in the 16 & 17 year old range.. Heck, with the way the things are today.. those parking prices hurt anyone trying to go to the movies or out to eat there.....
I had always wondered why they didn't do some sort of validation for parking if you went to the movies or ate there..
