Im sorry anyone that parks at a resort to hop to a park is just an evil person. In my book you are no different than a murderer. If I see someone in a lot without a parking pass I call the tow company directly. If a CM disagrees I report them to guest services to have them terminated. I pay big $ to park at a resort and I refuse to look for a spot. I should have the very first spot each and every time as this is what I pay for.
Getting past your "colorful" story. Many people have posted that when they stay at a resort that is close to a theme park, mostly Epcot, they have trouble finding spaces in their lot, as in driving around and around waiting for someone to leave. Think the Saturday before Xmas at the mall following someone with bags.
Magically cars start to disappear starting around 30 minutes after that said park closes.
So these people are not looking for a special spot, they are looking for any spot a spot that they know others should not be parking in.
