Sorry if this has been posted before. If you go to this website:
www.disneyparkscelebrations.com and click on Special Birthday Surprise you will be able to sign up to receive free admission to any of the Disney Parks on your birthday in 2009!

I'm so excited about this!

We are going to be there in Nov. '09
during DS's 6th birthday.

I'm loving the other options that they give besides
just the free admission. If you are going for
several days, the cost of admission isn't that much
per day (comparatively speaking). Having the option
of getting a GC that he can use to buy whatever
he wants in the park sounds like a winner to me.
:cheer2:

We will LOVE doing his own present shopping. heehee.

Is it the birthday month or has to be your actual DAY?

Thanks OP! I knew about the offer but I couldn't find the link to register, so your info was really helpful.

I for one am disappointed that they couldn't at least allow you a couple days before or after to claim your b-day admission.

My Dh's b-day is during mid week and my dd's b-day is on a friday right before school ends (ie during finals) and my b-day is during the week also.

BUM deal for us... Lucky for some though :confused3

I was very happy to see the other options for something free on your birthday because DH and I are Passholders.

The only thing I question is this:
"an original Birth Certificate or a notarized copy of a Birth Certificate is required."
I am a Florida Notary and we are not permitted to notarize a birth certificate, original or copy :confused3

Here in CT you can get a certified copy from the town where you were born. It has a raised seal from the town clerk's office. Now if I can just figure out what to show them for dd (she was born in Russia...do you think they can read Russian ;) ).

This is too funny for us. My twins were born on my birthday. Last year, we were actually there on our birthday and all we got were buttons. I would love to take them next year. As long as we have the documentation, I guess they'd have to let all of us in.

July is the first time we are going on my birthday so I jumped on this right away. Finally I'm getting something out of a promotion they have.

I saw the new birthday promotion Disney commercial for the first time last night during the Red Sox/Angels baseball game. It is very cute - Mickey head balloons floating all around...

Thank heavens the game was on late (West Coast game) - as only DD17 was still up - and she sat up straight upon seeing the ad and said "Wow! Cool! Can we go back?

Sigh...:lovestruc - we're hoping for sometime in 2009 - and maybe can do it over one of our birthdays...

great marketing promotion....Disney is getting a lot of free adverising as friends and family are forwarding this promotion to everyone they know! A slim few will actually benefit....the rest of us...really not a great deal! Honestly....bottom line....Brillient marketing promotion! Who ever came up with this one should get promoted! :) I'd hire them! :)

Chances are you'd be on a multiday ticket (which brings the value of the one day ticket way down) so they have other options (something like) a $75 gift card to be used in a park on your birthday... How COOL would it be to have 3 of those to spend in one day!!!

Woe is me... DD7 will celebrate her birthday this Dec 28 in the world. 3 days too early!!! :sad2:

Yup, welcome to Pam's world - always a day late and a dollar short...:rolleyes1

It works out well for us since DWs bday falls during the blackout dates of our Fl seasonal passes, so we'd only have to pay for one ticket and my bday falls in our good times so I could get the gift card instead. Never look a gift horse... :)

I saw this promotion on TV last night as well. DD and DH have birthdays 2 days apart in November, so we may just make a trip down next year (although DD is usally in the middle of a play performance during their birthdays!).

This was announced 2 weeks ago and there is an 12-page thread about it at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1950600&page=12

There is also an 8-page thread on it at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1957254

Finally, there is a 4-page thread on it at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1957385

I know the search here is terrible, but you can easilty search disboards by using google. Just type site:disboards.com before your search. For example, to find those threads I just searched for site:disboards.com free birthday admission.

This tip is great to know! (I'd often wondered why Dis folks said they had a hard time using the search function here...until I tried it! :headache: Ugh!)
