Does anyone know the cheapest way to obtain universal studios tickets. I would like to do both parks in one day. Thus, the one day hopper. My big question is has anyone done any of the timeshare programs to get free or reduced tickets. I saw some on e-bay for timeshares. I just wanted to know which ones are good to attend (last only stated time) and don't go on forever. Most are 90 minutes. Although I have no intention of buying a timeshare, it seems like a good way to get tickets if you can get through the session.

Only do this if you are VERY good at saying NOOOOOO! Those salesmen are slick.

I'm a longtime timeshare owner and much of what they will tell you is true. There are wonderful vacations to be had and a lot of reasons to choose the timeshare way of getting them. What they don't tell you is you can buy the same thing they are selling for about 25% of the price they are offering in most cases.

I enjoy going to these to see other resorts. My husband hates them and is always in agony. The kids sometimes have fun in the resort play area, sometimes not.

There are probably easier ways to get a good price, but use your own judgement. The only one where a salesman was just plain mean to me was at a Westgate in Gatlinburg TN. I've heard lots of bad things about the various Westgate resorts in Florida, as well. I've never been to one of theirs there and probably will never go to one.

My husband and I did one in Feb (for 2 Seaworld tix, but you could get Universal....not sure about 1day/2 park though). We did one for Marriott and thought it was not that bad. I, too, enjoyed the tour. The salesman was not pushy. In fact, he said "they" didn't mind taking no for an answer as they were already making $ on us....we were staying at the Marriott Orlando World Center, and as long as we were happy, they were happy. Of course, he didn't know that we were staying through priceline, for a WHOLE lot less than rack rate!

Good luck in your choice. (Oh, I have heard bad things about Westgate too...)

We did one at Vistana resort several years ago. We were with timeshare owners so they did not push, and they did stick to the allotted time.
