Free iPhone 3GS at Best Buy--today only

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but Best Buy is giving the 8GB iPhone 3GS for free with an eligible upgrade and two year contract. It's today only. My manager at work got two, one for her and her son. Great deal if you don't mind the older model.

What is the upgrade for? Do you need to accept it? My Dh needs a new phone and we certainly dont need the 4. Thanks for any info. Jo

It is for the iPhone 3GS not the iPhone 4.
