Isn't there a place within FW where I can take my labtop ( for free ) and pay a few bills online? If not how much is the internet box thingy to bring to my camper? I just need to pay a few bill online while I'm there and hate to have to pay for a full days service. TIA

My DS took our laptop over to the porch at the Meadows Trading Post and got on-line for free.

OK that's what I needed to hear, I called FW and they tryed to tell me there was no where to get internet service period at the fort?????

Meadows Trading Post is on the FW map as WiFi spot.

There are some who will say that DS must have been picking up on someone else's signal because Disney would never let anyone go on the internet for free, but all I can tell you is that I went looking for him one night and found him and 3 other people on the Meadows porch all with their laptops surfing the net.

Maybe they were picking up on someone else's signal, I don't know, I just know he went there every night for 3 nights and got on-line.

My problem is : I have to go online to pay three bills while I'm there, other than that I'm fine...I just hate to pay for service for something that will take about 6 minutes to do.

You can use dial-up from your cabin using a local provider number. I have a dial-up account with AOL that I maintain for traveling. It works well for checking email and web browsing. Local calls were free from my WDW room.

The words Free and Disney should never be used in the same sentence! :lmao:

Thank you, but I'll be in a tt though.

I would at least try the Meadows porch and if it works, great, if not, then head up to the outpost check-in area, they have a small internet 'cafe' there with dial-up service, you will just need a cable to plug into the wall.

Ok problem solved, my son in law said he can hook up his cell phone to my labtop and we can get on line that way...he travels for business and said he does that everyday while traveling, so I'll just do it that way. Thanks for all the help!

The first time we stayed there quite a few years ago they told me I could hook up to the line they had at the office for $10 for 15 min. I really needed to get online for our business so I went there they had me use a small room hooked the laptop up when I was done in less then 15 min. they said have a nice day I used it 3 times that week and was never charged

Just in case you have troubles connecting, there is free wifi at the McDonald's near the AllStars also.

Another option you may have. My bank has internet banking, but as a backup, it has telephone banking. You can call on the phone and dial four digit numbers and $ amounts to pay the bills also.

Carol this is far to big a feat for my bank, we bank though our credit union and anything of this nature would be much to hard for them...ha :rotfl2:

Someone needs to try this and let us know. It would thrill DD is she could get online at Trails End.
