Free Flights on AirTran with cups at Wendy's

I wonder though...if the coupons had to be "sent in groups of 4" how/why they are giving credits in incriments? And if I only need .5 credit, would they allow me to only send in 2 coupons to get that?

I can answer this one. I had to fly last minute for my granfather's funeral at the end of October of last year. The only seat I could get into New Orleans was business class so I took that (options were still very limited to fly into there at all so I took what I could). You get an extra 1/2 credit for business class flights so I had 2 1/2 credits for that round trip. When they started this promo I calculated what I would need in coupons to add to the A+ credits I had from flights to get a free round trip. I didn't send them in groups of 4, I sent the ones I needed together including 2 for the 1/2 credit and it was credited without a problem. I think they listed in groups of 4 because 4 credits = 1 credit and if you opened an account to do this promo, then you'd need whole credits. I had no problem sending a "not divisible by 4" number of coupons in and having them credited correctly.

I have 3 coupons I would be wiling to give anyone who needs them I can even Next Day Air them to you via UPS if neccessary. Please let me know if I can help you out. :goodvibes :thumbsup2

If anyone has any extra cups would you be so generous as to give them up? I am trying to get together a couple more so I can get a roundtrip. I have a big family. Airfare is a huge chunk of our vacation. Any donations would be sooo greatly appreciated.
I would pay for postage of course.

:jumping1:

Just booked 4 round trips from Atlanta to Orlando for my mom, my kids and I to celebrate DSs birthday and kindergarten graduation at Star Wars Weekends. Total due at booking....$20! :) :woohoo: Thanks Wendy's!

Star Wars Weekend, here we come! :darth: :chewy: :ewok: :yoda:

I sent in my coupons on 1/6 priority mail with signature needed on receipt.
I never got the postcard back that said they were received but I got my 32 points posted yesterday.
Now I have to check the calendar and see when I can get away.

Hi, just a note to everyone, hopefully this is helpful. I've mailed around 50+ packages a week for the past 5 years. I've befriended a lot of people at the post offices in the meantime. I have never heard anything good about using the return receipt on a package. Delivery confirmation is the best thing to use as far as tracking goes, but then they are only really required to scan it when it is delivered. I would estimate as much as 90% of return receipts are never sent back to the sender. Insurance is also not trackable by internet or by phone.

Hope this helps.

Well, guys. It's been fun... But apparently my advice here has been being reposted in other forums and what-not and therefore I cannot continue... I cannot control what someone else copies, pastes, or takes out of context. I'm not sure, but I have this gut feleing that my employers would be none to happy about my advice being spread board-wide. This was intended just for my pals here at the DIS, and not to be copied all over the internet.

Anyhow... I wish you all the VERY VERY best!

See ya elsewhere around the DIS! :)

You know, Airtran doesn't realize how much of a POSITIVE image you have given them with your forthright comments on this thread. It is too bad they have told you to stop.

Best wishes and thanks for your insight! I kind of had a feeling something was up when you didn't post for a few days.

Sorry to hear that Billie. I hope you didn't get in any trouble. I had to call twice yesterday and was hoping I'd get to talk to you. :) Thank you for all the info up till now!

I completely agree! Even when I got shorted .5 credit, I felt that it was ok cause they do have some good folks working there like Billie and someone just made an honest mistake. Hope you don't get in trouble...and thanks for your insight.
Oh...btw, you have you changed your mind on the coupon/WDW resort discount trade with me? ;)

Tell you what... Billie has a great gig there. She can most likely fly for cheap and she gets a good deal at Disney! Good for her!

I agree with the poster that said that Billie has been a postive image of Air Tran! I understand the employer's position but Billie has been nothing but positive, cheerful and professional! :thumbsup2

I just wanted to thank you for being so sweet and when my last credits show up and I am calling to get our last four flights reserved, :goodvibes and hopefully there is no wait on the phone, I will ask if you are there! I would love to thank you personally!

My first credits way back in what November? I came up with a .5 credit. It was like 7.5 credits instead of 8 (32 coupons mailed in). I called and asked what happened and what to do and they corrected it to a full 8 credits for me. :teeth:

We have flown Air Tran quite a bit this year (DH and I and the kids) we have found them to be pretty good air line. Two of the kids did get stuck in an ice storm in Charlotte in December and spent almost 5 hours on a runway but that is not exactly Air Tran's fault and the attendants did the best they could with a planeful of some very unruly passengers. :thumbsup2

I sent in some coupons by Priority Mail on Jan 20th; they got posted today.

So looks like the 10 day timeframe is about right.

Yay! :bounce:

As for AirTran CS employees...:thumbsup2

Even when I had a lost luggage issue they were professional & polite (I didn't initially hear what I wanted to & was told that my bag never existed but, everyone I dealt with from luggage handlers to corp. supervisors where infallingly charming). Of course, they became even more accommodating when my bag was found over a month later in another customers' home.LOL

The rewards agents try to go the extra mile for you. Only cranky/going thru the motions employees seem to be the check in folks @ ticketing/baggage & @ gate.

That said, I still think their black-out days & capacity system sucks.

Just talked to Airtran about 32 credits for my husband not getting posted yet at the 6 week mark. Thought I'd pass along what she said.

I had sent 4 envelopes each with 32 coupons each for both my husband and I. Mine all posted within 10 days. Only three of my husband's posted.

I just called today finally and asked what to do. She put me on hold, came back and said they have record of receiving my husband's fourth envelope, but whoever was to post it erroneously thought his account was maxxed out. She went ahead and posted the points for him today and apologized.

So if anyone out there has reached six weeks and no posting, CALL! They have a database they are keeping records of when they receive and post these coupons, per this agent.

Billie - I echo everyone else in saying THANK YOU for your information. It has helped me to stop biting my nails waiting for my credits to post (though there's still some nibbling going on).

I sent in a batch via FedEx and they were rec'd on 1/23 and I saw them in my account today! Now to have BF check his account and see if his posted. I sent in one batch FedEx and one USPS and have no idea which went how.

I finally sent mine out last Thursday or Friday...can't remember which. I sent them priority mail with delivery confirmation. I hope they get there soon and then post within the next few weeks. I have no urgency to use them, but am nervous that they're not going to receive them in time. How did you know they got them? Did you do delivery confirmation?

Hope everyone has fun on their trips...I can't wait to use mine!!!! I just can't think of where to go, since I live in FL...not trying to get to Disney like the rest of you! LOL I'm thinking Hilton Head or somewhere else that usually costs a lot to get to.

I sent mine in today. I sent them priority. We will see what happens. I am waiting anxiously to see if they post correctly.

I used deliver confirmation and it worked. I simply typed in the tracking code at USPS.com and it told me when it had arrived. Be aware that I have read of people using delivery confirmation and the USPS said it never got there. With the large amounts of mail arriving at Airtran, the barcode could be missed when unloading mail.

I used DC on my first package with priority mail and insurance... total cost was $7.90. My second package was sent DHL with insurance and SIGNATURE confirmation for $5.71. They got my package from Minnesota on a Friday night (6pm pickup) to Savannah on Monday morning at 8:30am. WOW. I was able to see a print out of the persons signature later that day!

I hope to see those credits post early next week! The trip we want to take is in October, so I am not in any hurry since the October schedule is not out yet.

I think a trip to Vegas or LA is in order for you since you live in Florida! Can you say DISNEYLAND! Have fun!
