Free Flights on AirTran with cups at Wendy's

Let me get this right you ae saying you would have to pruchase 128 drinks at a price between .99 and $1.29 to get one round trip ticket? That would be a cost of $126.72-$165.12. How is that a good deal??? Am I missing something here?

As JerJan said, it's only 64 for a RT ticket. And even $165 would be a good deal for airfare from DTW to MCO based on what I've seen lately!

Anyone thought of an "ingenious" ways to accumulate cups? My sister has considered "dumpster diving", but I'm not so brave.

Anyone ask for an extra cup or two? Or maybe ask people for their's as they're throwing them away?

Dumpster diving wouldn't work here as it's locked up.

I figured on doing the ask people for theirs or even buy them for .25

BUT!! Dh went to our Wendy's yesterday and they aren't doing it. Anyone else in the Austin area try a Wendy's that IS?

Why not go to the manager and tell them you need the cups. Can you buy a package? Or negotiate a purchase for all of them without the soda.

It would take a manager that can think out the box but the cost for a package of cups is a lot cheaper than buying the drinks.

Or think out of the box, for the person that works near a Wendy's why not put a notice on the bulletin board that you are going to trade a candy bar for a cup. Then stock up on .25 candy bars (go to Costco or something).

You could ask the person that cleans the restaurant to put the used cups aside for you. Maybe offer to buy a pizza for the staff.

There are ways to get these cups if you think outside the box!

I live in a small town and not near an airport so I don't have high hopes that the deal will be available around here but if it is you can bet I will have all the cups in about a week! I am pretty creative when it comes to things like this. I used to refund.

Some good ideas, but their is a 5 cup limit per transaction.

for 128 cups you get 2 roundtrip tickets it's 1 roundtip for 64 cups I got mine for about $68.00 RT from Philly to ca
not bad at all I can't fly anywhere for $65.00 to $90.00 RT depends on how many you have to buy or if someone gives you some I got 4 RT for $65.00 each

I know on the cup it says that there is a 5 cup limit per transaction, but how do they know how many you buy at one time. It doesn't say anything about having to turn in receipts.

because Wendy's isn't allowed to sell more than 5 cups to anyone person at a time. If you order more than 5 drinks in the same transaction the 6th cup and so on will be one's without the coupons.

The Wendy's I went to on Friday must not know about that. I bought 5 drinks and then 10 additional cups and they all had the coupons on them. Very interesting. I am going around for lunch to get more cups. I will see if they all do this.

Ok, the Wendy's near work never heard of a limit. I have been buying the cups for a week and was up to 41. I had to pay full price for them, empty or not.

I just went to the one by work and they sold me 60 of them for the price of a cup of water. So I paid a quarter each! I should be up to 100 now, only 24 more to go. But I was thinking if they would let me buy 3 sleeves of cups, there are 50 per sleeve. I was only planning on getting enough for 2 tickets but if they let me do this, I will be able to get tickets for my kids too. I will be going back in about 2 hours when I get off of work to see if they will sell me some more.

They will sell cups here without the soda for the same price!!!!!!!!!!! May as well drink the sodas. They don't charge for water but you only get the small cups.

I checked the one by my work (Midway area of St. Paul) and they did not have any. I haven't checked Woodbury or Maplewood yet so not sure if they are participating or not. If you find some let me know. Thanks.

call 866.409.0762 press 0, you'll be connected to an operator that has a list of the participating Wendy's and you can ask about locations near you. or rather, give her a zip and she'll find the closest to that zip.

At least you can stop treking around and trying to look for one. I felt the same way. I figured at least Dallas or Houston would have them since AirTran flys out of there, but nope. *sighs*

If you can get another 3 or 4 sleeves I would be happy to pay you for them, plus pay the postage for you to send them to me in Illinois. The one near me will only sell them to me at full price. I posted an request to buy them on craigslist, but haven't gotten any takers yet. I also have a lot of competition on there, since I have seen a few people posting they would take all they can get there hands on. I also saw people trying to sell the certificates, in groups of 64 (so a round trip ticket) for $125, so I think some people are trying to make a business out of this. I just want to get back to WDW!

WOW...lucky you! I only have 3 cups so far..I asked the other day for another cup and the gal said; "NO...Promotion...NO!" Okay then...she did not speak much English!

Tonight I go throught the drive-thru and get a soda/cup, they hand me a cup WithOUT the promotion on it..just a regular yellow cup.....so I asked the gal; "Do you still have the cups with the Promotion on them?" She inturn looks at me like I have 3 heads, turns away to ask someone else (her boss I'm assuming) then he asks me what I'm drinking, (What's this Quiz time now?) I reply "Diet Coke" and he hands me an empty cup and off I go. This is getting very frustrating!

I have a fellow I work with a few days a week, whom also works at Wendy's part-time at night and I tried to explain to him the other day about the cups,(he does not speak great English either)...even showed him one of my cups...I told him I wanted more...he said, "case"!! Oh My...Wouldn't that be lovely!!
