I just wanted to let you know we made it here today. The fridge arrived with our groceries and seems to be very nice. There were just two straps holding the box, which just slid apart without any cutting. There is a small cardboard and styrofoam bottom section and a large top section that slides over the fridge. I brought straps to fasten the box back on the fridge when we are done.

Your dates are open since Hmom is leaving on Nov. 15th. I don't know what time they are leaving, but you may be able to pass the fridge in person. I can added you to the list, let me know if you have already found another one.

Forgive me if I missed the answer to my question. What is the easiest way to safely transport this from one AS resort to another while using the Disney transportation? Is it even possible to do?

Somebody chime in if I am wrong since I have not done this yet. I think we just move it from one resort to another with one of those luggage carts from the bell desk. The three resorts are not too far apart. I will try to bring down one of those folding luggage carts that people use and see if that works. The folding cart might be more of a pain than it is worth though.

Our flight leaves around 7pm on November 15. (Unless Air Tran switches it again!!!!) I think we'd probably be able to make a switch some time that day.

My fridge swap just fell through! Our fridge is lost and was wondering if I could hop on board IF a space opens up...

Our dates are Oct. 10- 18--- I see those dates are taken, but I would love to be a back up in case something changes. Have done swaps before with no problems. I appreciate the consideration.

We just returned home but we had a great time at WDW. My son and I transported the fridge on a luggage cart that we borrowed from luggage services from our resort, ASSports, and pushed the fridge over to ASMusic for matosfam. There are several sidewalks and parking lots that connect one AS resort to the others. We took the fridge to luggage services at their resort and they attached a tag and date of arrival for matosfam and offered to take the luggage cart from us so we didn't have to push it back to ASSports. We took it early in the morning- it was VERY hot this week.

For those of you going soon- prepare by taking good ponchos, waterproof shoes and lots of water to drink. The five of us used 3- 24 count cases of water, 2- 12 packs of soda and also asked for free ice water at counter service restaurants in between. However, the ice water was very nasty at several of the places. Also, we noticed many families taking in fairly large soft sided coolers with picnics to all of the parks. Security checks all bags, but allowed all food- you must help move it so they can make sure you do not have contraband under the food. One family in front of us appeared to be taking a feast in to MK
