Free Entry To Parks?

1) Still available.
2) Just different procedure.
. . . go to Guest Service
. . . tell them you need to shop
. . . tell them EXACTLY where you will go to shop and WHAT you will buy
. . . they take credit card imprint for full admission charge
. . . don't come back in 45-min (sometimes 1-hr allowed) card is processed

NOTE: This is intended for those who want to pick up something in particular that they forgot or decided to get at last minute, not a "general" shopping or browsing tour. When you return, they WILL check the items bought to see it it was what was specified.

That's really good to know, twice now I have not bought park tickets for my departure day and have kicked myself that I couldn't scoot into a park for a last minute purchase. This time we even bought park tickets for that day specifically for that reason! I'll keep it in mind for future trips. :)

. . . Goodness, I never felt I was a "saint" because I followed the rules.

1) Neither do I.
2) But, neither do I
. . . run around on my wife
. . . cheat people out of money
. . . kick cats or dogs
. . . break into people's home to steal
3) You do right simply because it is the right thing to do.
4) With that being said

5) I have yet to figure out why people feel so justified in cheating Disney.
. . . try to get free upgrades so they don't pay for the higher priced room
. . . take condiments for their previously bought food
. . . paying a child's price for a 3-or-4 year old kid
. . . sneaking additional people into the room to not pay for them
. . . complaining over "nothing" trying to get "comps"

Goodness, I never felt I was a "saint" because I followed the rules. I wouldn't dream of driving over to McDonald's and helping myself to some free napkins and ketchup, then sitting down and opening up my homemade lunch. Why is it any different to do that at a Disney restaurant?

....

Disney charges guests for admission to the parks...

Remember, specific purchase, not a shopping expedition.

Exactly, last time it was three more of the pint glasses from Tattooine Traders, before that one of the leather hats from Indy Jones. I know what you meant. :)

HUH? This is in no way cheating Disney. Free upgrades are given at the owner's/manager's discretion, not the discretion of the guest. It done when its obvious that the upgraded room will not be booked or when the standard rooms are over-booked. :thumbsup2

I think you have a chance - just make up some romantic story about how you plan to re-ask you wife to marry you while watching Illuminations

sorry but I wouldn't feel right putting a CM in that situation because you forgot your ticket or didn't even have one to start. :goodvibes

Illuminations fireworks are able to be seen from several different resorts around disney and even the music heard, just can't see the lake. So that is another take on the idea.

I wouldn't count on the CM letting you in and I wouldn't make up a lie either!

I wouldn't enjoy anything I got for free because I made up a lie. I would much rather pay the legitimate price and have a clear conscience. I do think it's ironic to suggest someone lie to get free admission while having a quote from the Pope in one's signature. And I don't think bringing up use of napkins was effective in diverting attention away from that.

To the OP- why not go to the Boardwalk? You can get a pretty good view of IllumiNations from there and there are some great places to eat and a very fun Disney atmosphere. That's what I would do. Enjoy your trip.

I guess I am the only one that can admit they haven't always told the truth -I can always go to confession. But I can see that I am the only that needs to go to.

This is in no means to just one person I do find it very ironic some of the same people critizing me for telling the OP he could make up a story are some of the people that very easily violate the rules of posting for signatures. It costs this board so much money to see how much weight someones lost, how many trips they've taken (ego trips in my eyes), how many "blinking images" they can upload, or have numerous ticker clocks. But since you aren't cheating Disney World just the Disboards budget I guess that's okay because they aren't on the same pedestal.

Wow, I'm sorry you don't like my signature, but it does meet Disboards guidelines. But, even if it didn't, under your logic, I can always go to "confession", right? That's okay. I'm happy the way I am. If you feel comfortable lying, that's fine- no need to be defensive because others said they wouldn't do it. Everyone's beliefs are different- that's why everyone suggestions to the OP were different. :goodvibes

1. No more than three images are allowed. All of the following each count as an image: (1) A photo, (2) A Clipart, (3) A Countdown, (4) A 'sparkly' signature, (5) Any non DISboard smilie, (6) Eggs. Note also that WISH images each count toward the maximum of three images allowed.

Thus if you have a sparkly signature line, 2 photos, 3 countdowns, 2 eggs, and 1 WISH, your total image count is 9, or triple the allowed number.

------------------------------------------------------------
4. The TOTAL number of lines in your signature may not exceed 12. All of the following count as a line: (1) a line of text, (2) a blank line, (3) an image of any kind on it's own line (such as photo, countdown, smilie, egg, etc), (4) any type of spacer such as a dashed line.

Whatever the case - I can add unless these are old rules (I haven't been here very long and obviously not that experienced about what "not" to post). I do think that signatures are a little overboard on this board and can only imagine the money that is paid by the Disboards for bandwidth.

And yes, you can to go to confession, if that's your choice - talking to someone about your wrongdoings is very humbling. It is wonderful.

And for the napkins - obviously some people rather have "nasty" stuff all over the park.

Anywho - I do hope that the OP does have a great time with his wife watching the fireworks - be it he pays or gets to see it free. He can always just watch from the gate while he's talking to the CM. :)

Just an fyi that from looking at the other poster's signature it does meet the requirements. They have 2 countdowns, 1 sparkly siggy and less than 12 lines. All smilies are DIS board smilies... so unless I read it wrong they are totally ok.

To the OP - wouldn't chance losing your privlidges on property to see 20 minutes of fireworks. You can see them very well from the YC/BC/BW area.

JIMHO, I could have sworn that the rules included "blank lines" in the counting. Perhaps it's all up to interpretation or the new "fuzzy math" but some signatures, are way out of control. According to the rules posted by the prior posts that is. Again JIMHO.

But seriously folks, what does this thread have to do with the price of eggs in China on the third Monday of every month.

Mocking Confession (and other such similar mocking) is irrelevant to this website.

STAY ON TOPIC!

Welcome to the DIS - I did stay on topic, perhaps you should read the rest of my post.

Please pardon my faux pas, however, the second half of my post was directed towards the general morality debate growing throughout this thread and not at you. For that I apologize. I should be more specific when addressing many subjects in a post. I am interested in answers to the OP's question. The misplaced debate in this thread is distracting from a valid issue.

You have got to be kidding. Oh by way, giving out information on how to cheat Disney also violates board guidelines according to posts I have seen by moderators. Just so you know for future reference.

But anyway, I'm sure the OP has enough information to decide what to do. Good luck.

This is going to go over big and I'll most probably get in trouble or get a little red from flames but I think you definitely have a possibility.
I think you have a chance - just make up some romantic story about how you plan to re-ask you wife to marry you while watching Illuminations.

I think that anytime you start out with this in your post, you probably should refrain from posting it.

As for lying to get into the parks, don't do it. You most likely will not get in and I just find grown-up lying to get something kind of embarassing for everyone. Just my two cents....

PS...I think my signature is ok, so I won't need to go to confession.
