Free Disney Dining Plan

Hi all. Not sure where I should be posting this as i'm new here, but just looking for some info. I have booked our first Disney family vacation for November 4th-10th. My husband and I were talking and we decided that we would actually like to visit in September instead, for other reasons. So, I got online to check the price differences with our package and noticed that the free disney dining plan is being offered during the dates that we would be visiting. So, my question is if I were to change our reservaiton dates to September, could I still get the free dining deal? I just wanted to check before I call tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

Free dining is to September 29 but have not seen free dining for November yet or did you have bounce back offer? have been watching close or so I thought for Oct 28 to November 9

You will need to call and check the availability of the resort you're interested in. Many of them have been sold out already---there are only so many rooms alloted for the free dining promotion.

You will receive quick service dining for staying at a value resort and the regular dining plan for staying anywhere else.

I'm going to call in the morning to see if there are any rooms available for September 8th-14th, which is when we'd like to visit if its possible to change our reservation. Some things have popped up and going earlier in the year would make it easier for us and if I can get the free dining and save some $$, that would be great. I built a package online as if I was making a new reservation and there are rooms available in the value resorts for the free dining plan for those dates in September as of tonight. The price difference between what i'm paying now and the new dates with the free dining are around $700, so if I can change it, I will.

Canopynut66: After I read my question, I could tell that it might be confusing lol. What I meant was: I've already made a reservation for Nov. 4th-10th at Disney's Art of Animation resort for 5 day magic your way tickets and quick service dining. My husband and I have been thinking that it would be easier for us to visit in September instead of November, so when I saw that free dining was being offered Aug 25-Sep 29th, I thought i'd call and see if I could change my reservation dates from Nov to September in order to get the free dining to save a little $. It would be the same package, but with free dining i'd save like $700.

If you are interested in booking a standard room(LM) in Sept. the rooms don't open up until 9/15.

Sometimes they will extend the free dining into November. We went two years ago then and were able to get it. When we went this past October we weren't able to get the free dining because they didn't offer it during Columbus day week. But if we would have went the week before we could have got it. They usually extend the free dining sometime in the summer. There is usually an announcement on the Dis when they do.

As the previous poster said it's dependant on how busy they are and what season they are in for example they don't offer free dining during the peak summer months for the most part.

You could wait it out through summer but since they are opening the resort in parts, rooms may be hard to get.

They have the free dining offer on the Disney site and some were sent pins. I was sent a pin for the new AOA.

I am hoping that free dining will be extended into Oct/Nov again this year as well, does anyone know when the extension announcements have been made in the past? I just don't want to miss it!

It's usually over the summer but they will post a note on the top of the forum saying when it's announced.
