FREE Dining??

I have seen alot of posts about this on here latley. I am wondering how long this lasts? We will be at WDW October 15-23 and am wondering if this will still be going on while we are ther. I guess I am wondering because you see so many posts of being rushed and so on I am wondering if some of this has to do with this Dining Plan.
In all of our trips I have never felt rushed anyplace we eat. We have only once made priority seating for a whole trip and found that we missed several because we were TOOOO busy when the time came so we don't bother anymore, or we call durring the day and have had pretty good luck so far. If we can't get in someplace we go someplace else, try not to let meals dictate our trip.

So if anyone knows when this Free thing ends I would love to know....thanks

The offer ended on Aug 20th and you would have had to be checked in by Oct. 4th to take advantage of the free dining.

Also, the free dining was for a maximum of 10 days. So with a Oct. 15th check in the free dining will officially be over when you arrive.

Actually I am glad it will be over when we arrive. Sounds like people being rushed and so on with it going on. We did a meal thing YEARS ago where you paid so much per day per person and you ALL got an appetizer, dinner, and dessert and we all found that we COULD NOT finish all the food. We would take dessert back to the room thinking we would eat it later and more times than not ended up throwing it out seemed to be a big wast of food for us and we decided then and there never to do anything like that again.

Belle - just to let you know, while free dining will be over when you are there, many guests will be using the dining add on and there have been reports on this board that ADRs are hard to come by even after the free dining period is over.
