Free Dining Watch 2009 - Dates Released!! Update post 1

I've also heard that they sometimes release new blocks of rooms as needed. So if what you need is gone, try back because you never know if they might have released more for the promotion.

Good luck!

I have a couple of questions.

1. What number do I call tomorrow morning? I've seen more than one, and don't know which one to use.
2. Is there a special code that I need to give them, or do I just say I want free dining?
3. (Ok, I went over the couple of questions) If I call at 6:58 like everyone else, what are the chances that I'll get my first choice? (POR)

Thanks!

Good luck to everyone tomorrow morning!

JoMarie, I used 407 939 6244. I'm certain there are other numbers that all work too.

There will be a code. I'm certain no one knows for sure whether you'll need it or not, and it may well just depend on which CM answers your call. I say get the code off the internet and have it just in case.

If you call first thing, I think that your odds of getting a room at POR are pretty good. Every indication is that POP is the first one to sell out, and I'm reasonably certain that doesn't happen in the first hour of the promotion. Good luck, and do post back to let us all know if you get the room you want.

Tomh- Thank you so much! I'll be sure to let you know if I get it or not.

Just making sure, the code is RYI, right? This is so exciting. It feels like New Years. Haha.

silly question but - are those mcdonalds french fries considered snacks for the dining plan?

YEP! There is an awesome sticky on SCs in the dining plan board. But to save you the trouble of looking for it yourself clicky here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2067447

NO! RYI was the code for DV holders. The code for GP will be different. There is a FAQ thread sticky on the code board - found here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1782177 While the info is for last year the way thing are handled will be the same.

No, that was the Disney Visa code. Ours (us general public) will have a different code.
:confused3 We dunno what it is yet though. Hopefully soon (aka- before 7 am)

please help me... I am going to try to book for a grand gathering (total of 6 rooms) on 3 diffrent credit cards. Will I be allowed to? Everyone else will be at work and I am the designated planner.

Great Disney "mini-magic" moment for us, in December when we were at Epcot we stopped for fries and the lady behind the counter whispered something to my nine-year-old and asked me to wait... (We had been discussing what the kids might want and after several suggestions she decided she did not want anything) Then the lady came back to the counter with an M&M McFlurry! A FREEBIE!!! She told us to have a pleasant night and we were so excited because it was Madison's third magical moment of the day!

Oops. Sorry, double post. Keep on reading. Nothing to see here, move it along. =)

TY! I'm not a morning person, so I think I'll take my chances. Unless the baby gets up that early...

Hi!
Uhm, I have a question. I get an SSI check each month [blind in left eye] but it won't go onto my Mom's debit card until the 1st of April.. Or midnight after the 31st.. Whichever.. Anyway, I'm sort of worried about being able to get free dining or not at the resorts we would like since FD would have been released for 2-3 days already. I know rooms will [most likely] book up fast, at least that's how I picture it.

My Mom loves the idea of waking up, walking out on your balcony and seeing all kinds of wildlife, so Animal Kingdom Lodge - Savannah View is her choice.

Me, I love the larger-than-life characters at the Value Resorts, so All Star Movies is my choice.

So, do you think we will possibly still have a chance of booking our package+FD at either of our choices for the [tentative] dates of Sept 1st-Sept 5th, even though we won't be able to book anything until Wednesday?

I've been telling my Mom we have to book something but she always says she wants to look at everything [DISboards, AllEars, etc..] first, but then she's always busy, so she never looks at stuff with me.. Now that FD is getting released, I say we have to at least try to book something! Besides, those countdown tickers in my signature mean absolutely nothing [in my opinion] until the trip is actually booked. They only make me hopeful of the possibility of going.

Even if we can't get those choices I'd be happy with anything as long as my Mom, my Aunt and I still get to have our first trip to Disney World.

Thanks for any help/advice,
-Tiffany

Every year I went with free dining , there was never a code for the general public, at least not for the time frame they set it up for, which was end of aug and all of sept I believe. So, why would there be a code for people now if your going with in those times they set it up for? As long as your going within those time frames, then you get it, right?
