Free Dining staying at a Value Resort

A lot of us are looking forward to free dining this year in the past 5 years its been a great deal to have free dining and stay at a Value Resort but I'm worried, I know those who got the bounce back offer got the regular DP staying at a value resort but those who have gotten pins are being offered the CS DP with value resort. It would seem odd to offer that deal now and a better deal later. So which dining plan do you think will be offered this year for staying at a Value Resort?

If I had to guess I'd guess it's changing over to the QSDP. I actually mentioned this to my husband last night. Seems like that is the norm now and while we have enjoyed the last couple trips with free regular dining, I get it, we pay less and so the discount will be less.

While we are booked for Full Free Dining from our BouncBack from last year, Tonight I get the Pin for Quick Serivce Free Dining..

Im thinking this might be the last year of Full Free Dining..

And I cant help but question, Why offer Quick Service Free Dining, as a PIN offer, are they going to open it up to the General Public in April\May like usual...

Sorry to hijack the thread, but if they do offer QSDP with a value resort stay, can you pay the difference and upgrade to the MYW-plus dining?

Yes, I believe it was only like $10 a person. Whatever it was I didn't think it was too bad.

We went to Disney with past December. We stayed at pop and received the QSDP for free. However before it was offered to the general public, pins were being sent out as well. A lady I work with got one. However those pins were for the regular DP. We were given the opportunity to upgrade to the DP for $10 per person. We decided to stay with the QSDP.

Last year I was offered a PIN for free dining at any resort ... the DP plan. We stayed at the All Star Music and took advantage of the Free Dining. However, this PIN was offered BEFORE it was offered to the general public ... so I am fearing this may become the standard.

Also, on one of the DIS Podcasts .... the broadcasters discussed if Free Dining actually saved you money ... and their analysis was that it only beat the 40% off a room discount when you stayed at a value resort (that was when Disney was offering a 40% discount)

.... so maybe Disney has caught on.
