Free dining/ room limits?

Does Disney really limit the number of rooms that can have free dining? We made our reservation 2 weeks before free dining came out in anticipation of it. When I made the ressie I told the CM that this was my plan. She said fine just call and change my PIN reservation to regular and add the free dining, never mentioning that there was a limited number of rooms available.

Yup, they sure do. There are a number of specific resorts/room classes for which the free dining promotion is not available/no longer available.

I second that. Yes they limit the room availability for all classes of discounts. Whether it AP rates, Florida rates, Cast member rates, and all other specials. Of course, no one here knows what the formula is that they use since they hold tight to the numbers.
