I have a few questions about a fall trip. We have a couple family members who have decided to come with us for part of the trip and I am trying to figure out details and the best way to go about it while saving money. Here are the details for any input.

My family: Renting DVC BCV 9/17-9/27. 3 adults, 1 teen, 1 infant. DH & I will have APs and my mom hasn't decided if she will buy a AP yet. DS may or may not be coming for the entire trip but we won't even know if he is allowed to come at all until right before the trip (he is in foster care so lots of red tape). We are using TIW and paying OOP for food.

Cousin & husband: Caribbean Beach 9/20-9/29 Free Dining, 7 day tickets.

We were thinking about adding DS and my mom to my cousin's reservation and buying the 7 day tickets so that we can get the extra free dining credits and make the most out of the money we are spending OOP for food anyways. We can always use the tickets on another trip if my mom ends up with an AP. Would this work? Do you get paper tickets or would they be automatically linked to a MB? I just want to make sure we can save them for later if we need to.

Regarding above scenario, that would make 4 magic bands on my cousin's account. Can they all be used to access the dining credits since they will be linked to a package/ticket even if the ticket isn't used for entry on that trip?

Sorry for all the questions, they just decided they wanted to try and come so we are trying to figure out the best way to work it out. Not trying to circumvent any system but if we can move our guests around to save money and we definitely want to.

Thanks!

As long as they do not exceed the capacity in the room and you purchase the tickets on the free dining reservation, then yes you can do this.

I do not know how this will work, since your plan is apparently to have two guests registered in two different rooms at the same time.

I am thinking you might be able to register them at CBR but not BCV, and then have them added to BCV after you arrive, but I'm afraid I don't know how Magic Bands work when you have people registered on two room reservations at once. They might be able to have access to CBR room and dining PLUS access to the BCV room.

There are no paper tickets anymore. Tickets must be linked to MDX and can be accessed via magic bands or an RFID card. You would need to go to Guest Services before entering a park to have the tickets "prioritized" on whoever's account the tickets are on (they'll be registered to your son and mother since they will be the ones booked on the package - another thing I don't know is whether or not they can be used by anyone other than your son and your mother. Your mom could always upgrade that ticket to an AP if she wants one)
