A room only has been announced June 13-August 14.

I have been told by 2 cm that fd is going to be offered from Aug. 18 to Sept.25. We already have rooms booked with fd from a bb offer at that time. My daughter has a room booked at the regular rate with dining. The cm told us to call back when it is offered and they will apply the fd discount. I assume it should be any day now as it is usually offered in the spring.

The Sept discounts are usually offered right around the beginning of April but since they just released the Room Only Discount good until mid-August I'm thinking they're not going to release a late Aug/ thru Sept discount for awhile.

I wonder if they (Disney) are waiting to see how the rooms book up without a discount to see how much of one they need to offer.....

They use historical data, plus advanced bookings, and a little magic (economic indicators that tend to predict their bookings) as inputs to their discount decisions. If we all book vacations early hoping for a discount later, then they have no need to make the offer!

We too are waiting to hear if FD is going to be coming out for late August...right now we are either going Aug.11-18 or Aug. 15-22 (locked into Sun-Sun or Thurs-Thurs because we are flying Allegiant). Looking at POR or possibly ASSp...definitely POR if we are able to get FD.

Would someone please remind me about FD...if we arrive Aug. 15 and leave Aug. 22 we will still get FD for the entire time, right????

Not if it starts August 18. You would have to arrive August 18 or after or do a split reservation.
