We will be at Coronado during the same time (11/15 - 11/20)!!! We also got the free dining. I did not have any luck on the website when free dining was released, I ended up having to call and was on hold for 2 hours!!!!! It all worked out because I'm super excited about staying at a moderate for the first time!!

Heeelllooooooo Hummmannnsss!
I'm back with a short update for today, I have been working on our schedules for the trip.
(I know DISers can appreciate a good plan!)
So far I only have a layout of our first day done

Nothing fancy, and ignore the terrible picture quality!
But good news on the travel side of the trip, Jay has gotten the okay from work to start vacation the Friday! Which means we can leave a whole 8 hours earlier than planned!!!
8 HOURS CLOSER TO DISNEY!!!
It's a big deal.
Before we were going to have him leave work around 3, drive as far as we could that night, and just finish the rest of the ride in the morning.
Now, we are going to start the drive at around 6-7, and drive straight to Orlando!
We figure we'll just rent a room close to the Main Gate area for the night, and the next morning we are going to try and be there for park opening!!
I can't wait!!
I know we won't be able to check in early, but I think when we get closer, I'll call and make sure it's okay, I have heard they'll hold our luggage for us. It's worth a shot!
Today is 88 days!!
It's getting so close!
On a more real World update, has anyone else been keeping up the the D23 Expo! I am so jealous, I would love to attend one year!
I am so excited about all the new projects that were discussed, especially Star Wars and Toy Story!

We are at 89 days today!! yay! for 8 more hours of vacation. I love your plan of driving all the way through in one day and getting a hotel near Disney. Are you planning on going to CSR first and then heading to the parks? If you do go to CSR first they will hold your bags and will text you when your room is ready (and deliver your bags to the room).

We are driving as well, and we are leaving the house at 4am!!!! It usually takes about 8-9 hours to drive for us. Our plan is to go straight to CSR and check in and I'm hoping since I'm planning on doing online check in at the 60 day mark that will help with the chances of our room being ready since you provide them an estimated time of arrival...I would love to get a text with our room number before we even arrive. Not to mention I would love to take a bit of break before we head to DTD and then to HS for EMH!

Yes! We are also going to do online check in, and hopefully our room will be ready that morning! But I am not expecting it to be, if so we were planning to leave our bags and head to Animal Kingdom for the day! Normally, MK is always our first park day, but we are going to try AK, and head to MK in the evening! It takes us about 10 driving hours, but normally ends up being 12 with food and potty breaks!

OH HAPPY DAYYYYY!!!!!

Why is this day so happy?

Because it's 80 days until we leave for DISNEY WORLD!
Ah, I feel like it's right around the corner!
I'm finally getting into that DISER "I HAVE 80 DAYS UNTIL DISNEY WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR DAY 3 OF OUR VACATION MODE"

I knew you would understand.

I'm also pretty excited because we have a cool front passing here in Louisiana.
It felt very "fallish" when I went feed my dogs and check my plants this morning.
Fall is technically my favorite season, however Louisiana generally goes from 100 degrees to 30 degrees real quick, so it was nice to have the kind of weather that makes you want to be outside.

Thanks Pooh Bear, you get me.

On the planning side of things, it has been going well!

I'm a scheduled person, I like to have one and just a general idea of what to do.


However, we're also spontaneous people. Well my family is anyway.

My Mom is one of those people who can spend 3 hours in one gift shop, or as I call them, Dump Shops. (As Disney "dumps" you into one at the end of every ride)

With that being said, I'm pretty okay if we stray away from our plans a little, it is after all, a vacation!

But this update will focus on our DINING PLANS!!
I feel like every update I've made so far has hinted to them, but I've never actually talked about them!!

Without further ado-
November 13th- this is our driving day, so we normally do fast food stops along the way. However, the 13th is actually my Mom's Birthday! So I think we will try to squeeze in a nice sit down lunch somewhere, it's the least I can do for making her spend her Birthday in a car.

November 14th- Check in Day/ Animal Kingdom/ Magic Kingdom, probably going to be a bit of a busy day! We plan to drop off our luggage at the hotel, head to Animal Kingdom for rope drop( fingers crossed) spend the day there until closing, and then head to Magic Kingdom for a 7:55 Crystal Palace Reservation. I would love an earlier time for this, but it'll work out!

November 15th- Epcot Day, this is the last day of the Food and Wine Festival, so we plan to snack a lot! We also managed to get a 5:40 reservation for the Coral Reef, I can't wait to try this place out!

November 16th-Whispering Canyon Cafe(8:10)- this is our MK day, and we chose to eat here for a few reasons.
#1 MK is famous for limited sit down choices, we will have already eaten at CP. Don't pull out the pitchforks guys, but I don't like the menus from Be Our Guest and Cindy's Royal Table. I know, I know, the food is great. I'm just a bit of a picky eater and nothing appeals to me.
#2 WCC is delicious! I've eaten there before when I was younger, and we loved it!
#3 The atmosphere! Everyone knows WCC is a fun restaurant, well everyone but Jay. I'm not telling him about of the pranks/jokes they pull here, I think he's going to get a kick out it!

November 17th- 50's Prime Time Cafe(11:15), this is our Hollywood Studios day, our first choice was the Sci-Fi Cafe. My Mom and I ate there during our last trip, and we loved it! It seemed like the perfect choice for this trip with our guys. However, for the life of me I couldn't get a reservation. So we talked it over and decided to try 50's. My Mom is a little nervous about it, but I've assured her, they aren't being rude, just having fun. Which my Mom isn't a stick in the mud, she loves to joke and have fun, I just think it's something different for her. But I'm excited about it!

November 18th- San Angel Inn Restaurante(6:30), I believe this is going to be a hop around day. We do have water park/ fun option, so I'd love to try Disneyquest on this trip. As I know Jay will love it. It's been a few years since any of us have been, so I'm excited to try it out all over again. I was a little nervous to try this restaurant, as I'm not a huge Mexican food eater, but everyone else loves it, so I'm willing to pick a little if they get to enjoy it. I looked over the menu and there are a few options, so I'll live!

November 19th- this will also be a hop day but mostly MK day, as it's our last day
We chose Tony's Town Square Restaurant(12:10). This place looks like a hidden gem. It wasn't too hard to get a ressie, and it looks quaint. It seems like a commonly looked over place, hoping to enjoy it!

November 20th- One last Disney meal before we get on the road, and that had to be a Disney Buffet Breakfast of course!
We chose Cape May Cafe(8:45). This is another we've never eaten at, plus who doesn't love characters in cute costumes, and MICKEY WAFFLES! Sadly it is our ride home day, after this.

All in all, I'm very happy with our sit down choices, this is our first time on the dining plan, so we haven't been to very many of the restaurants around Disney! I'm excited to add a new experience into the normal hustle and bustle of a Disney Vacation.

Does anyone else think it's ridiculous to stay up until midnight/ 1 A.M. to make Fastpass Reservations?

I do too, I think it's crazy that I should have to do that for my vacation 60 days from now.

That's why I got up at 4:00 A.M. instead to make ours..



Which isn't as crazy, right?!

But regardless, I made our Fastpass ressies!
I think I made a few really good choices, and overall I'm happy with everything.
That is, as long as crowds are low as planned, we'll be fine!

Saturday- AK Day in the Morning!
Expedition Everest- 9:45-10:45

Kilimanjaro Safari- 11:35-12:35

Festival of the Lion King-1:30-2:30

Only thing I would change looking back on this is I would make our Safari FP in the morning, on our last trip we managed to get on one of the first trucks out for the day and it was the best safari ever! The pictures I got were amazing, all the animals were so active! (P.S. I've included a few animal pictures for your viewing pleasure)

Sunday- EPCOT Day 1!
Mission Space- 9:00-10:00 I was so nervous to make this FP, my Mother and I both get motion sickness. But we've never ridden it and it's my goal to try something new this trip! We will see!

Soarin- 10:15-11:15

EPCOT Character Spot-12:10-1:10

I've never been to the Character Spot either! I really love meeting characters, so this seems like a perfect choice!
My goal for this day is to take it slow, we mostly want to check out F&W Festival, as it is the last day, and we'll be back to EPCOT later in the week for more rides.
But I do plan on running over to Test Track at park opening, we haven't ridden the newer version yet, and I'm so excited to!

Monday- MK Day 1!
Big Thunder Mountain- 9:20-10:20

Pirates of the Caribbean- 10:25-11:25

Space Mountain- 11:30-12:30

I'm a sucker for the classics, what can I say. When I think of MK, I pretty much think of these three rides. They have been on the top of my list since I was a little girl, and they still are today!

Well, it's been awhile!
And I have a perfectly good reason!
As if I didn't have enough going on, my computer decided to die on me!

It's been a little rough working without it, not to mention school.
But right now I'm on a loner from Jay, so at least I'm here!

This will sadly be a very word heavy post, as I don't feel comfortable saving gifs and pictures onto his work laptop. Soo, words it is!!

I'll just start back off with FP+ ressies.

Tuesday, November 16th
Hollywood Studios

9:05-10:05 A.M. Muppets Vision 3D
This is a must do for me! I find it hilarious, and I look forward to each time!
Side note: Has anyone watched the new Muppets TV show on Tuesdays? I LOVE it! What do you think of it?

10:15-11:15 A.M. Star Tours
Must do! I love that each ride is different!

11:50-12:50 Toy Story Midway Mania
Obviously a must do!

I love that all our Fastpasses are early, that way we can try for me the day of.

Wednesday, November 17th
EPCOT Day 2

My plans for this day are to start out a little later in the day, maybe check out DTD or just hotel hop.
I think swimming is probably out of the question, but you never know!

1:20-2:20 Spaceship Earth
Classic. 'nough said

2:40-3:40 EPCOT Character Spot
I've never done this!
I can't wait to get pictures with each character!

8:40-8:55 Illuminations
We've seen Illuminations, and love it! One of our favorite firework shows at Disney for sure!
I'm not sure if the spot will be worth the FP, but I figured it would be worth a shot!

Thursday, November 18th
Magic Kingdom Day 2 (last day )

9:20-10:20 Seven Dwarves Mine Train!
YAYYY! Early FP for this, I feel so lucky!
My Mom and I have been able to ride this, but my Dad and Jay haven't, cant wait for them to see it!

11:05-12:05 Haunted Mansion
I'll forever be in love with this ride, I remember how scared I was the first time riding this. I ended up loving it, and we usually ride it multiple times during our trip.

12:45-1:45 Splash Mountain
On the other hand, this ride terrifies me.
But, I'm willing to try it. Again. I've ridden it once before, and I really didn't like it, it's long, and the drop.

But we're going to try it, with ponchos.

And that's a wrap!
I still feel behind on the planning, it's mostly clothes that is worrying me. Not sure how to pack for this time of year, I'm thinking layers!
