Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

Along the same lines, with DV, if they don't post something with the promo code until later in the day, and my TA needs the promo code to book with the DV discount, how should I go about getting the code? Does/will someone post it here? Do I have to wait? Thx!

There is no promo code it's just a DV discount, the 'code' is your using a DV card number.

Thanks for all your help. We are thinking deluxe but not 100% sure. It will prolly be a at least 6-7 years before we make it back so we want to do it right

Nice! I'm going in October and we're staying value. When we do an adults only trip, we will mosy definitely do a deluxe.
The RO will probably save you more than FD than. Have fun!

I know Disney Visa card members get the deal 1st but do they send out a notice to disney Visa card members or is it more of being in the know?

I've never received any notifications and I have a card. The onky reason I knew anything was because if these boards.

Thanks, not sure if I can ask about this here but I know if you book a package with the walt disney travel company and you pay with your Disney Visa you get 0% for 6 months. I assume the 0% begins whenever you pay for the package in full with it?

You do not need a code to get the discount. I would just INSIST your TA call and ask. It is sad to read all these stories of TAs not wanting to make an effort. A code may be posted on here throughout the day, but you shouldn't have to wait until that happens.

We are booked for YC Oct 19-26...I know that YC&BC are sold out except for CL for our dates. Are they likely to have FD available to apply to our reservation even though our dates are already sold out?

If it truly is fully booked, there won't be discounts on it. But I would give it a try, just in case. Never hurts to call. Also see whether RO or FD is a better option for you. Some find RO the better option with deluxes.

I think the difference here are the PINs that have went out and could still be booking. For September FD, only the bounce backs from the prior year had already booked...where this time there are people who have an ongoing opportunity to book anytime. So in the past two weeks since this leak, it's certain that PINs have continued to book rooms here and there. Some resorts may have availability issues, so it's always good to have backups when you call. Like I said earlier, if its booked its booked and not much we can do about that.

You will have 6 months from the date of each charge that you make on your DV card. On our last trip, I made 3 payments on my DV, so my statement showed 3 different balances at 0% with 3 different payoff dates.

I think the TA is actually referring to the codes that are posted on the DV site, like the current promo codes HAB and KAH for Sept FD. I think she will make the effort, but I can also see where she might need the code to check the options. If there is an easy way to get that for her to speed along the process, I'm all for it. Otherwise I will just have her try with my DV too. Not sure if there is a best approach.

Last year for my sons 3rd birthday we did Animal Kingdom Lodge with Deluxe Dining and while the hotel was beautiful and the meals were awesome, we were almost never at the hotel (except to sleep and a few hours at the pool one day) and we were sorry we did so many table service meals (even though the food was great and the character meals were a hit) because each meal was extremely filling (so much so that half the time when it was time to go to our next ressie we weren't even hungry) and also TS meals take longer (you have to wait to be seated, wait for the waiter to take your order, wait for the food) and therefore that means less park time. We actually felt like we were in restaurants more then we were out in the parks. Also remember, with table service meals, the meal may be free but Tips are NOT included and therefore thats more money out of your pocket. This year we are doing a MOD resort with regular dining and we will still have table service meals but mostly in the mornings (and we are trying large breakfast's and Lunch/Dinner combined with snacks to keep us satisfied). Also, with Deluxe dining we found ourselves in the Animal Kingdom Lodge gift shop grabbing whatever was approved on the dining plan in order to use the rest of our credits on the last day. ***CORRECTION*** Incase you didn't know, Children under 3 receive free meals.

We are checking in 11/23 and staying until 11/29. These dates fall during thanksgiving week. Does this mean we will be blacked out? We are also currently booked for a LM room so we would have to switch over to Port Orleans Riverside. Do we have a shot at FD?

You can get free dining for the week if you check in by 11/23, but RO will be blacked out for some of your dates.

If the dates hold true and you check in on 11/23, then you will have FD your entire stay. But, yes, you will need to switch resorts since LM rooms are not eligible.

I am trying to figure out which moderate will be fun for our little girls who are 3 and 6. I was thinking the riverside because maybe we could get a royal room. Do you know anything about transportation there? Or any other recommendations?

My reservation begins on Nov. 11th, so do I automatically get FD or do I call. I don't know what a PIN is. also, I booked the whole package with dining on my regular Visa, but I DO have a Disney Visa. Please advise what I should do. Thanks

Under 3 is free. We had to pay for my son last year when he was 3.

I am crossing my fingers that 11/23 is included! I'll be on the phone at 6am CST to extend our stay (currently booked 11/25-11/29). I'm hoping 11/23 is included like it was for the pin codes.

Thanks for the clarification. So it starts when the charge was incurred.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Because my sons was 2 when we arrived and didn't turn 3 until the middle of the trip he was free because he was booked as being 2.

I stayed at POR when I was younger (When it was still Dixie Landings) and it is by far one of my favorite resorts. I was over-ruled this trip by my DW & DS and we are currently booked for POFQ but I would honestly prefer POR. I don't recall exactly what the transportation situation was like but I think Disney usually adjust's the number of buses running to specific resorts based on the number of guest's staying in the resorts (ie if 1 resort has 200 guest's and another has 600, the one with 600 will have more buses dedicated to it). But don't quote me on that.
