Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

I am trying to figure out which moderate will be fun for our little girls who are 3 and 6. I was thinking the riverside because maybe we could get a royal room. Do you know anything about transportation there? Or any other recommendations?

I can't give you too much of an opinion, since we've only ever stayed at POR. But we love it there. I bet your girls would absolutely love a Royal room! And I can't help you too much on transportation either because we rent a car. I don't think you would be disappointed with POR!

I tried this last year. They rushed me the card and I was able to book before it was offered to the public. I think you need your card and card number though before you can book. You could call to apply and ask to be sure.

The year I applied I did it online and there was a link to WDW online to book your trip once the approval was received. I don't know if they still do this but it worked for us.

My reservation begins on Nov. 11th, so do I automatically get FD or do I call. I don't know what a PIN is. also, I booked the whole package with dining on my regular Visa, but I DO have a Disney Visa. Please advise what I should do. Thanks

You need to call. They'll require you to put a new deposit down using your DV.

Please tell me if maybe I'm over reacting or if anyone else finds a problem with this. We booked our trip with a TA who I was friends with in high school. She's a disney expert so I trust her completely with all things disney. She is a TA part time. Everything is great and our trip is almost paid off. I saw the threads on here almost 2 weeks ago about the leaked FD dates and messaged her about it. We would need to upgrade to a mod or switch to POP to get the FD so I asked her to do a quote for us to see which would save us more money. Monday will be 2 weeks ago that I asked her and I have yet to receive a quote for anything! She has said that it is "number 1" on her list and she would get back to me ASAP and I still haven't heard anything. An I over reacting or would you be annoyed/freaking out too?!

Thanks, not sure if I can ask about this here but I know if you book a package with the walt disney travel company and you pay with your Disney Visa you get 0% for 6 months. I assume the 0% begins whenever you pay for the package in full with it?

I'm not sure how that works....we paid with our dv in pmts. I think in order to get the 0% financing you have to pay it all in one pmt.

I'd be mad....she needs to do her job. Friend or not she needs to honor your requests. And 2 weeks is ridiculous. Call her constantly until she does it.

Ya know, I would just email her back asking if she got a chance to get you those quotes yet. Things do happen with email. My TA is currently working on something else for me and she said she would have it by Monday. In the meantime a friend told me she had emailed something Monday and I never got it. That made me wonder about an email from my TA, and sure enough she had emailed me, but I never got it. Send her quick message to just touch base with her. Good luck!!!

Nope, it should not take that long. Even if this is a part time job, she needs to be there full time for her client. Message, email her back again now! Saying again you just wanted to touch base on those quotes because you need them by (today, tomorrow, NOW!) Good luck!!!

I'm not sure how that works....we paid with our dv in pmts. I think in order to get the 0% financing you have to pay it all in one pmt.

You don't have to pay it all in one payment to get the 0%. You get 6 months from the date of each payment you make with the DV. Check your statements under the "Qualifying Promotional Financing" section; it will list each payment you made towards the package and when the 0% promo for that payment expires.

For example, the $200 deposit payment I made 02/16/2013 shows the 0% has an expiration date of 08/27/2013 (my payment due date is the 27th of each month). The payment I made 06/28/2013 shows the 0% has an expiration date of 12/27/2013. I've already paid off these charges but they still show under the "Qualifying Promotional Financing" section with a $0 balance due.

I remember that in past year they released the FD and then added new dates to the offer for Dec. Anyone remember which dates were added after released? I am already booked for the first week of Dec and I am considering move it to checkin on the 12 to have the FD since we are 5 and it is better deal for us. I calculated and even with the increase in airfare will save us about $1,100 vs the RO.

Are you sure she doesn't mean as soon as the offer comes out? Some TAs do not like quoting prices that are not set in stone. In other words, free dining is not out yet, so technically she can get you an idea of what it would cost you for what you want without including dining, but that price is not a quoted price by Disney for free dining. Although I am pretty sure it should match what you actually pay, there is no guarantee, so TAs do not want to commit to it. And I don't know if that is the case, but it sounds logical, maybe.
