Anyone else here who got FD going to do MVMCP. This will be our first time. We have been to MNSSHP and loved it, but don't know what to expect for this one. Also, what is the weather like in Orlando early to mid November.

Has anyone ever eaten at The Wave... of American Flavors?

I thought the Wave was a chocolate desert at Coral Reef.

LOL, it may be but The Wave... of American Flavors is also a restaurant at the Contemporary Resort. I am thinking of eating there before MNSSHP since my first choice (Chef Mickey's) is booked solid. My wife's sold because it's supposed to be a healthy place.

Still bad enough, but I was like Dang! remind me to never complain to you about a long drive

My husband and I drove once. Drove non stop for 21hours. Got a room in Savannah ga then drove 4hours to wdw. Went over the Chesapeake bay bridge and tunnel. Found out then that my husband was scared of hights. Camped in fort wilderness in a tent. When we were driving back we got pulled over by a cop for not having our registration stickers updated on our licence plates ( this was a rental car) cop said that we should be grateful that he pulled us over because if we were pulled over in Ga we would probably do jail time (not sure if that was true) made us go to Orlando airport to exchange the car. Had to unpack and repack. After all that when we got home I fought them so much for what they put us threw that I got all my money back on the rental. I WILL ALWAYS FLY

I ate there last year and I liked it a lot. The entree was amazing. The desserts are all trios. You get three desserts per person, how could that be bad? Oh and the tea they serve is the same tea used in the Grand Floridian Tea Room. Very good.

Oh I forgot almost $200 for MNSSHP because I just had to go on the most expensive night (October 31st)

I actually changed my vacation dates because Sunday's cost more to fly. I was going for 10-27 to 11-03 and now we are going 10-28 to 11-04

Are you staying at POR? We'll be there Oct29-Nov5!

SOLD! All I really saw was "The desserts are all trios. You get three desserts per person, how could that be bad?" but I'm sure the rest of your post was convincing too. :rotfl2:

Remind me later this evening and I will post some photos from the Wave. I'm not home right now but maybe around 9pm. Please remind me.

Has anyone heard the rumor that Disney World will be working on constructing a new Disney World park and more resorts in the next decade?

We are! Haven't bought the tickets yet (the nonrefundable part scares me) but will be going in November. Super excited! We went to MNSSHP last year and have to admit my kids were too young to really get our money out of it. The weather is probably going to be a bit unpredictable this early. Last year, some nights were fine in jeans and a t-shirt or even shorts, but others I was wishing for a sweatshirt!

When we went in December, our kids were swimming...about low 80's...too cold for us too swim, but not for the kids :).
My book (The Unofficial Guide to WDW 2013) says for November an avg daily low of 57, avg daily high of 78, avg daily temp is 68.....But I suppose it varies, since it was so warm when we were there in December 2011.

How young were they? We are taking my 4 year old son. He is able to stay up pretty late (11:00 has been the latest so far but I think with everything going on I can push that a little farther) and we plan on taking a rest from around 1-3 to prepare for it.

It's been an off and on rumor but heard nothing concrete so far.

Oh how I'd love them to build a DisneySea there. That's wishful thinking though.

17 months and 5. It had been our first day at Disney and there were no naps or rest to be had by the 5 year old that day. So he pretty much crashed after the parade while we were waiting for the fireworks. We are being a bit smarter this year, with no park plans the day of the party, and hopefully some rest will happen so we can stay up late! The two year old won't make it, but she can sleep in the stroller!

And the more I think back, he had been on a sugar high from the trick or treating, so he did crash pretty hard!
