I GOT POR AB for my dates!!!!! I just called in and spoke with CM Bradford, who said, "looks like there's some Disney magic happening, I have a room for you!" I could tell he was so happy to finally give someone good news, after saying no to everyone the past couple days! He said he's only seen those rooms pop up since yesterday!
I'm soooooo excited! Yippeee!
I hope there are some more rooms out there...don't know if they were cancellation rooms or more placed out there for FD but GET ON THE PHONE MY FELLOW FAMILIES OF 5!

I have been trying all day for POR and still can't get it. Keep rearranging my dates. So sad :-(

I have to ask, what did he say to get them to give him FD? Was it the CM that was able to give it to him or did he have to talk to a supervisor? I'm sure it was nice not having to worry about changing your dates and dining reservations to fit within the dates given by disney.

I'm not sure since I wasn't on the call....but after going each year and shelling out thousands...he demanded to speak to a true manager....we were given it. I too was playing the call and see if we have a pin game and he said enough! I'm calling...we got a personal email from the manager and still have her email address and told us if we needed her for anything else to not hesitate in asking.

We had plans on going during those dates originally...my kids are 6 years and 1 week apart in age, and after shelling out close to $10k last time we were there (2011)....car service to airport, flights, resort package, vow renewal through Disney FTW, limo, minister, cake and dresses......he had enough of never getting a pin and demanded we get free dining.

Just cancelled POR 10/1-10/10. Royal Room. CM Said it will be eligible for FD. Hope someone gets it!

I could just cry ~ I mean really (a good cry). I had my heart set on fd at POFQ. I mean I have researched this resort for over a year and felt like it would be perfect for our first onsite stay. When word came that it was excluded from fd I was disappointed but decided we would probably like POR, I knew my princess loving dd would love a RGR. Well, after the disaster that was yesterday, we ended up at CSR and I was so bummed. I mean I know it's still Disney but honestly, I was crushed. I researched it all yesterday and dh and I looked at youtube videos last night and while I know it is some people's favorite, I was not happy about being there. Well, I have been stalking the reservations site since yesterday morning with no luck. Then out of the blue I refresh the screen and poof, there it is ~ a Garden View Royal Guest Room. I just about fell out of my chair. I blinked my eyes several times and checked the dates again and sure enough, it was for our dates. So, needless to say, I snatched it up and we are at POR in a RGR and I am all smiles. Keep checking if you are not where you want to be ~ something may pop up for you too

I don't think that's necessarily true. I was thrilled to get my reservation modified.
I personally just was frustrated with the whole phone deal.. I don't care if ppl make mult. reservations, it's just that I think that it added to the chaos when ppl were calling on the day that the promotion came out, it was the worst I've ever seen it & I think it would've been helpful for those with mult. reservations to call maybe the next day. Also, ppl were calling back that didn't get their e-mail confirmations.
I've only heard one person on this board who was pretty p.o.'d.

If my room (standard POFQ) could have been modified I would have been one of the ones waiting on the phone. The deal came out and try to the leak it wasn't included. I made another reservation online. I think many people are in my category. I hope that people understand no one was trying to be mean or hateful. Everyone wants to have a magical vacation.

O.K. I left a message for my TA to cancel anything she was able to book today, unless it was the same as what I got of course. She was going to book the rooms with the piddling RO discount for now, but I can't reach her. Has anyone transferred a reservation to a TA before? I want to transfer the one I just made. How does that work?
I don't know what to do with myself now. Guess I'll take a break before attacking the ADR's and finalizing those. And there is always tracking airfare, of course.

What have I learned? I learned that deciding to go in September for FD was a good decision, lol. I was watching this thread and considering pushing the trip back into the holiday season but decided it wasn't worth the craziness.

How will you handle your ADR's? We booked AoA in February and my TA put a hold on POP for us yesterday. If we end up going with what she has on hold then what do I do about my ADR's?
