I wasn't able to get free dining cause we arrive on the 9th of November but I was able to get the room discount and saved over $700 at the boardwalk!!!!! Yea first time there!

Ok, I'd asked this this morning. I was told the same thing, taxes on free dining. Didn't know you had to pay taxes on FD? Mine definitely wasn't from tickets as I booked June 14th. Still confused about this....but I guess it's right??

We didn't pay any taxes on FD. I priced my trip out yesterday for just room and park tickets. When I booked online this morning for FD, my package price was exactly the same as it was when I priced it without any dining. Not sure if it makes a difference if you book online or with a CM on the phone. I would think it should be the same.

I guess that particular adr is tough to get but there are many great resteraunts to choose from. Really not interested in try to get one there. Menu looks ok but my 15 year old son would rather go to the trails end Buffett for ribs instead.

Well, after spending all day on hold, my TA finally got our two rooms switched to CBR with free dining. I am so, so, so thankful to her, but I really had sold everyone on POR and now I'm all, oh shiiiiiiiitzuuuuu. I'm half thinking that I should just go back to POP which was our original reservation... I'm ever so appreciative of her but I guess I need to do some serious research before I do anything crazy! What a day!

We switched from POFQ, which my kids LOVE, to CBR. When I told my kids we would be switching, they were disappointed. I tried to talk up the fun music around CBR, how fun it will be to try something new & hey, we're still in Disney! Still sad faces. Then my DS asked if CBR has a pool slide, so I pulled up some resort pics and, just like that, they can't stop talking about how excited they are to go to CBR. Hope that will help/work for you, too!

What am I doing wrong? I've been trying to call at various times all day and keep getting the "All circuits busy" message. I have called from several phones so is everyone having this issue?

I kept trying multiples numbers all day. Heard that message from all of them at one point. I finally got thru on 407-939-6244. I then had a hold time of a little under 2 hours, but at least I was in queue.

If you haven't been there before, iv been going on YouTube and touring all the resort's. That's how I made my decision to go to POR.

MY TA worked all.day.long on this for me and her other clients and unfortunately we weren't able to work FD for us between the split stay we would have needed but we ended up moving from POR to POP, kept one ressie and did a room only and saved $500. Better than nothing!

I am so sorry that is so stressful! My TA was wonderful! I was actually talking to her on FB while she was on hold. She was so determined to get me what I wanted and she did. I hope yours got you what you wanted as well.

robyn: I am freaking out a bit...I was on hold for nearly two hours this morning and was able to get free disney dining or so I thought...We changed my original dates to the date, got everything, but on my reservations now its shows nowhere I have free dining nor have I received a conformation email...Should I be concerned?
Lex: This shouldn't be cause for concern. Even though it does not explicitly say "free dining" on your reservation information, you still should have had it applied. As I cannot double check you reservation to verify this, I would suggest just making a call back to the Disney Reservation Center at 407-560-CHAT (2428) and have a magical vacation specialist take a look at your booking.

I only got one of our three confirmations so far, but that one says FREE DINING.

On a funny note and a bit off topic. Was watching everyone posting this morning at work when someone posted " POR sold out on fd" so I got worried and was suppose to post" going 11/11-11/17, did anyone get POR for fd" but my autocorrect changed it to " going 11/11-11/17, did anyone get pot for fd" well I hit send and went back to work. At lunch time I'm trying to find my post when someone puts, " I don't think disney is giving out pot with there meal plans" . I'm really having a hard time with this kindle or I really need to preview my posts before I hit send

LOL, you know you cab shut off auto correct right? I shut mine off because it was changing all kinds of things that shouldn't be changed.

Well, no pixie dust YET for me.

My TA tried her heart out but within my very rigid plan and backup plan there was no availability for either FD or RO discount TODAY.

But I'm not giving up hope yet! I've still got 30ish days until my final payment is due and she said (and I choose to really believe) that she really feels like a discount for one of my two plans will come open after all the dust settles from today's cluster-fuuuudddge (oh yes, you know i want to say the real word ).

She assured me that she would continue to check on a daily basis for me. She sounded more defeated than I felt. I sorta felt sorry for her.

She was definitely not breaking my heart, we have very little wiggle room on our resort and none on our dates, so we booked exactly what we wanted in Feb, but who doesn't love to save a buck or two?

I'm so thrilled to see everyone getting what they wanted!!

I've got my fingers crossed for some pixie dust in the near future for myself and for everyone else like me, and in the mean time, I'll just keep swimming.

I'm going to have a whiskey drink and pout for a couple of minutes, then finish ordering stuff for our MNSSHP costumes!

Nope, still trying here, although I do not feel anxious....I'm just stubborn and don't want to give up til I get what I want, well need, in this case. If I have to call every day until Sept 15th, I will. No worries.

Just got an update from my TA and she is STILL on hold and has been for 11 hours!!!! I'm just hoping for FD at this point. Even if I don't get the upgrade from Pop to CBR. I feel so bad that she's been on hold for so long

That is just crazy. 5 hours seemed crazy to me!!!

No free dining here- but I do have all of the ADRs i want! I'm not stressing- I really think once the initial rush is over they will release more rooms for FD booking. And I not- hey ill keep 2 or 3 of them and try out some new CS areas!
