Edit: Okay, it worked the first time I just tried. Second and third times I got "circuits busy."

What's the price per day to upgrade from quick service to regular dining plan? I know it's been asked a billion times but I don't have time to look through all these pages. lol I think it la $19 for adults but not sure on kids??

Avg. is $19 for adultd per night and around $4 chilldren 3-9

Sorry everyone, I have not had any time to read everyone's stories or to update on here today. Between going through an agonizing 5 hour wait and the fact that I was at work and not getting much done during that 5 hours. I had to get things caught up. Anyway my wonderful TA got us the deal for all 3 rooms. We saved a bunch. Hopefully will get on after work and read everyone's stories and elaborate on mine more. Thanks to everyone for listening to all my whining through the months!! Special thanks to black who was right all along!!!

If there are numerous cancellations...how long does it normally take to release some of those rooms into the promotion? For example..wilderness lodge has numerous cancellations for the first week of December due to lack of free dining ( not saying it will..just a hypethetical). Will those rooms be released into the room only discount for that time and about how long if it happens would that take?

MDE says nothing about free dining for me either. I called back and it IS on my ressie. It also looked like 2 separate reservations with one excluding my son on MDE. The CM said all 4 are definitely on my reservation and named all 4 in the party by name. He said give online a while to update.
I haven't gotten a confirmation of the change either and he said they are so busy they are sending ressies over to their IT department to do confirmation emails? Thats why they are taking so long. He said it is crazy there today but I'm definitely all set. I even snagged a standard room at POR even though it wasn't available online. Saved $832!!! Yay! I'm hoping everyone eventually gets what they want. I'm thinking they have to open more rooms. Now to keep waiting for an email...

407-560-2428 (CHAT), 407-939-7729, these are the numbers to the Reservation center, IDK what number you are calling, but my sister talked with someone for hour who had no idea what was going on and couldn't help her so at 8:30 she used the first number I listed and it was busy a couple of times but then went through. She waited a total of 2 minutes before a CM picked up. They asked how long she had been holding and were really surprised because everyone else had told them an hour and a half.

about $4 per child. I actually went online and priced out our room, then went to 'add dining' it has the prices out beside QSDP, DDP and DxDP, just subtract one from the other and you have an exact upgrade cost for your family size. Our upgrade cost for 2 adults, 4 children (3 disney adult children) was 589 and some change for 6 nights.

It's so strange bc it will let me do the room discount, but not the free dining.

TA could not get me any discounts or FD at POR but said I could get the FD if I upgraded to AKL. Total additional cost out of pocket was $78.90. I would have loved to save a boatload of money but since the trip is already paid off, an additional $80 to ugprade seemed like a no-brainer.

This morning I used 1-407-939-7729, it's listed at the bottom of the booking page on Disney's site. I used it and the regular WDW number, both had some issues the first dial and then they both worked.

I'm looking super forward to sleeping in tomorrow and not popping out of bed at 5:55 to check the disboards and see if FD went live. It's done and booked, it's a such a freakin' relief. Although I still think that people who call in after seeing ads and commercials will be disappointed by the lack of choices.

The people who are getting through this afternoon, are you using a cell phone or land line? My cell phone keeps saying they can't take my call or it just beeps. I have never once gotten through all day except right at 6 am. I've called probably a hundred times.

IF they release some of the cancellations back in to the promotion inventory it would probably be pretty quick.....within days or maybe even a week? Closer to the end date of the promotion (September 15th) they may check booking levels and release some more if they see fit.....or I would think that's how they'd work LOL.
