Most likely, your TA has been on the phone trying to get through. Although the TA's have their own reservation line, there have been reports that they are have been on hold for long wait times just like those calling in on the public lines.

My TA has been on hold all morning. I feel so bad for her!
 
What are the odds of availability at PoR for a room not RR in later day? I really need it. :( the CM says that I keep verifying since normally they add rooms days later after actual release date of an offer.
 
Has anyone not got a confirmation email for updated reservations? I spoke to a CM right at 7am with no wait but I still have yet to get an email. I am getting worried! She did double check that it did take effect on my reservation before she let me go this morning

I haven't gotten an email yet, but it's already updated in My Disney Experience online. I would think that if it's there, then you're in good shape.
 
I got POR for 5, Nov 17-22. Had to take off Nov 16, but its ok since we are driving. I was booking online when the server went down. Called, only waited 5 mins, got the same cm as this morning (she remembered my kids names). I am so happy. And I think we will use the $300 we saved by taking off a day to do MVMCP. Persistence pays off...keep trying.

Maybe there's hope!! I just called and there was NO 5 person FD availability for any Sat - sun (8 night) stay in POR for the entire rest of the year? How can that be right?
 

Sigh...POFQ sold out on both. Riverside only 5% so more than what I am paying now with AAA. No change for me. I'll use my leftover tix & just eat counter service as it's a solo trip

I got through at 6:40 and my email came right around 7:40
 
I've been hearing from my TA all morning. She was STILL on hold last time I checked, then she said the system crashed :worried: I already have a res. at Pop Oct 19-26, just trying to switch to CBR w/ FD. If I can't get CBR, I'll stay at Pop and hopefully get the FD. And I thought October was one of the slower months! :confused3

CBR was available (for Oct 18-27) when my TA got through about 1 hour ago, hopefully your TA will have success! I too am getting scared about that week now, but just hoping it's all of the crazies switching things around and not entirely new bookings!:eek:

The other thing that is really bothering me, is my TA quoted me a price with FD back in June, and now shes quoting me again, and this new price is about $300 MORE than the quote back in June. Can anyone figure out why that would be????

If you change a reservation after the ticket prices increased you have to pay the new ticket prices. This is only if you change the reservation, like to get a discount or free dining. Otherwise you still pay the old ticket prices.
 
just wanted to say thanks to Joe and Dave and everyone else providing up to date info. I went online at 6am and by 6:15 had two POR rooms booked with free dining, one of the rooms for my family of five. I had to try several different date combinations but finally had something come up for Dec 13-20. So I grabbed it.
sending good luck vibes to those still trying to get their dates and locations...

Now I am trying to adjust some of ADRs and I keep getting errors back from the site.

Mine has been going through the same thing all morning. On hold since 7am, system crashed. I think park tickets have went up a little so maybe that's why. :confused3
 
She is probably trying as hard as the rest of us. I haven't gotten through either.

I agree..all of us are just trying to modify 1 reservation and look how long it's taking. The TA's have multiple ones and I heard they only get a certain amount of time then they have to get put back in queue and wait for their turn again :headache:
 
I'm in the same boat, waiting, waiting, waiting. And nothing! I'm getting so upset and anxious!
As far as the price incresae both rooms and tix have increased so I bet that's where it is. But it was my understanding that if the ressie was made before the increase you'd be all set.

Tickett prices have gone up and also you may have had to change to a higher category room (i.e., preferred, view) if standard rooms arent available
 
It really isn't a mystery. If they only offer the ROyal rooms that means family of 5 needs to upgrade to a deluxe. I'm sure this is part of disney's plan.

Not all families can afford to do that unfortunately, I know we can't! so maybe when they start losing all of their current fam. of 5 bookings to offsite they will release more rooms?

I have heard people say they can get their preferred resort online but not on the phone. We already have a reservation at POR with the DDP. When I called this morning, there weren't anymore rooms available at POR with the FD offer. So, we didn't do anything. What happens in the next day or so if I see it available on line (same dates, same resort & room category) with FD and book it? If I cancel my current reservation what will happen to my ADRs that are attached to my original reservation (the one that I cancel)?

This is all hypothetical because I don't know if I'll keep trying or not. We may just stick with what we have and not worry about the credit.
