Anybody going the second week of November having any problems getting pot for fd?

Yup. I'm still trying. Did you get POR? I might not be down there with you after all...

OK, I feel like I'm running a 3-ring circus! I now have 3 reservations going!

This morning I went online to try and get the RO discount or FD for Oct 19-25 for the Poly - no luck. Then I called Disney but hung up after an hour.

I went back online and played with dates. Turns out (Thu) Oct 23 and (Fri) Oct 24 are the days that are causing the problems. So I was able to get either the 30% RO discount or FD for 5 of the 7 nights. I made several reservations and still need to figure out what works best for us and then call Disney to link stuff! At least I'll get part of the trip discounted!!

#1 Original Reservation (no discount)
Poly GV 7 nights (Oct 19-25) + 5 Day PH

#2 Free Dining
Poly GV 5 nights (Oct 19-23) + 5 Day PH + Dining
Need to somehow use/link Oct 24-25 RO portion from original reservation

#3 30% Room Only
Poly GV 5 nights (Oct 19-23)
Need to somehow use/link Oct 24-25 RO portion from original reservation

soooooooo, giving up for now. but will obsessively check online for options as the days/weeks go on. would LOVE for a reasonable option at the Poly or CL to open up......................for now, POR with no FD will have to do.....I'm so tired I'm delirious.

I've been on hold for 1:49 and counting. I believe the message was not about a limit on the hold queue. It said that the call center CMs would only help you for 90 minutes. (If, say, you had tons of clients whose packages you needed to change.) After your 90 minutes with an agent had ended, you will be put back into the hold queue. I think you can be on hold indefinitely.

Their queue system makes little sense though. I've seen people hold for HOURS and then someone call in after them and get right through. Definitely another one of Disney's mysteries LOL

Called at 7. 1 hr on hold. I almost hung up, when the CM answered. I got what I wanted though POR Nov 12-22nd. Saved over $1,000 for my family. DH is very happy with that! Thank you all for the help!

Finally got a CM after 1:45 on hold. He asked for my ressie # and name then put me on hold again. I've holding again for 10 minutes. I hope it's due to busy computer and that he didn't forget about me.

Gave up on calling after 40+ 'Technical difficulty' and busy signals. Booked a second Res online at Pop! Thanks everybody for the advice and good luck!

If your vacation days are flexible, it's much easier to book a new reservation online thank wait on the phone.

Thanks to everyone who posted what days are available at POR. Thanks to you guys, I was able to snag a reservation at POR from 11/2-11/8, garden view room.

Definitely keep checking, after all this madness settles people start rethinking their original plans and moving things around, changing resorts....etc.

106 minutes later... I am finally booked at Coronado Springs! Would have preferred POR but, no discount available on my existing reservation. I saved $737.64 with free dining! Now to research Coronado Springs as I have not looked into this hotel before. Any feedback?

omg... on hold for 1:16 now.... I am so tempted to just book online, but we have a trip to mexico booked in November, and really would like to not have to pay for the room in full until we check in!!!

Congrats on getting your reservation, hate that you couldn't get through on the phones. Today has definitely been a topsy turvy kind of day for their system.

incase this helps someone:
I was one who wasn't sure I was in "line" bc it went straight to music without a prompt saying hold for agent- so if this is the same for you, stay on hold!

Took about 50 tries to get through - 'All Circuits are busy' over and over. Finally did - FD didn't work out but the room only saved me **$600** And I was paid in full so it's like free money!!! Hurray!! Good luck to everyone else! Whoo hoo!!

Never stayed there but heard it was nice. Keep checking back too......sometimes people cancel or move their reservation after sleeping on it and you may see some availability at POR open up
