Hes trying Nov 1-8th, only avaliable with garden view, nothing else avaliable for family of 5

Book what you can afford and that is acceptable for your vacation....then keep an eye out for the next few weeks for your preferred dates/resort openings. There will be a LOT of changes over the next few days/weeks/month as people rethink their original plans.

YES!!! Got our FD and got to stay at POP. Our original cost with QSDP was $2291.74, we upgraded to pay for DP and our new cost is $2021.43, that's a savings of $270.31. It's not much but that's fine with me. Savings is savings. Now all I have to do is decide out of my 7ADR's which one I want to pay OOP and call dining and add DP to ressies.

Was on hold for 1.5 hours. Decided to look online. Booked POR RR garden view ( same as my first reservation) with deluxe dining for Oct 1-10. Only RR garden and river view were still available. I GOT MINE!! Good luck everybody!

We want free dining and I know they can fit a family of 5 at POR with the bunker but they dont give me that option online. If I CANT get through to someone on the phone and can't get that room, could I get free dining for 4 of us and pay for my son outright and just get the room with 2 Queen beds? I know we are a family of 5 but we really don't need that "bunker" since our 3yr old sleeps with us anyway (and we only have a queen at home). It would still be cheaper for us this way, and we're upgrading our tickets to seasonal anyways once we get there. I get all circuits are busy or a busy signal when I call. Have been getting that for awhile now.

Yes I have a TA and I do understand and appreciate that she is probably changing multiple reservations. At this point I'm trying to steel myself for bad news with the hopes of being pleasantly surprised... But she just contacted me and said she's still on hold so, yeah, time for a new mindset. Either way, we'll be at Disney!

My ears are hot from being on hold for so long!

total time on hold 1.30 minutes. What a wonderful CM too. She told me that Disney has them all working OT til Sunday and there was over 1000 calls on hold. She also said if the hotel that you are looking for isnt available now to try back on Monday. (She's been working for the company for 25 years). She thinks that if the rooms do not fill up they will release more. She checked both room and free dining discount to see what was better. She asked me if I wanted her to look at different dates around the same time in case there was no availability. She was wonderful and I hope everyone gets someone like her on the phone too!

I went from a week at AoA to a week at the POLY!

Hopefully tikiman is right and the construction doesnt start until next year

GOT IT! Didn't have to change anything. Got the FD for AKL stay starting 10/19. SO EXCITIED!!! Took 20 minutes of dialing and staying on hold for 1 hour 28 minutes...but I got it!

That's awesome!!! Have a magical trip!!

I have been so caught up in the drama this morning, that I have not even had my coffee yet I just love all the excitement these days bring!

1 hr 47 minutes (and 6 months of stalking the boards) later, and we have standard room booked at CSR with FD for 11/16-11/24 . Like many, we hoped for POFQ or POR but there wasn't any availability. We are still thrilled! To put icing on the cake, we scored a BOG reservation for the 21st last night, making our trip complete!!

Thanks to all for the tips, entertainment, and drink recipes . So excited to stop the mad planning for a while!! Good luck everyone!

Btw. ... anyone have any good thoughts to share about CSR? We've never stayed there

106 minutes later... I am finally booked at Coronado Springs! Would have preferred POR but, no discount available on my existing reservation. I saved $737.64 with free dining! Now to research Coronado Springs as I have not looked into this hotel before. Any feedback?

We loved Coronado Springs! We usually stay at BC or BWI but when my husband and I went for our anniversary trip, we tried CSR at the advice of our TA. Beautiful resort! The buses were great. ( much better than YC/BC) we stayed in the Casitas. It's close to the lobby and it's the first bus stop when the buses return from the parks. We also loved the breakfast buffet at Pepper Market... All you could eat for 1 counter service credit ( even Mickey waffles . ). Though I heard a rumor that they got rid of the buffet .

You'll love it there.

I had 3 phones going at one point trying to get through (husband ,daughter, myself)) Finally got through and now I have been on hold 50 minutes. I was hoping to modify. Now I am just thinking to cancel that and book online. What do you all think? I had to call my boss and say I am going to be late lol.

I would probably book online at this point if you're comfortable with that. You can always call back later and have the first reservation cancelled and refunded.....unless your boss is cool with you being late and then I might hang on the phone for a bit longer to avoid another deposit...etc.

Not sure what problem people have accessing the website from other countries, we live in Singapore and I have made all my bookings through the US website, and paid deposits with an Australian credit card.

Do you type in a different web address for Disney or go through a certain browser?

ok, so after 2 hours and 6 mins, I'm done. Moved the dates around a few days and was able to get a diff room cat.

Was able to get POR Garden View Nov 1-8th for family of 5.

I think my head and phone are going to catch fire from working so hard

I don't believe Disney will let you do that. My youngest will be 3 at time of travel and the CM told me I had to book a room for 5. Had she still been 2 at the time of travel, then we could have booked room for 4.

It seems a better option to book online then cancel your original reservation then to wait on hold for hours. Unfortunately, my clients are all booked at AOA and are pretty upset that they are excluded as they are a family of 5. We are thinking of moving them to 2 rooms at Pop. Still a bummer though. Oh well, they will have a great time either way.
