Finally done...I can breathe again! Took the Royal Room Standard View so we could try Riverside...originally booked POFQ and love it there I hope DH likes it...still saved $981.83! Was too scared to book a standard room at CSR. I'm gonna keep calling til December to see if a preferred room at POR opens up.

That is only for packages. Room only reservations are a one night deposit at time of booking with the rest due at check in.

I'm a lurker for years here but chiming in to say....after an hour and 15 min on hold, I was able to get FD at POR for Oct. 30- Nov. 4!

Me, too! I was all set to go to bed at midnight and then they put the offer online. Ended up staying up until 1:30.

I couldn't sleep last night, kept having weird dreams that FD wasn't available and then it was and then it was sold out and some other weird things. So when the alarm went off at 7am I couldn't wake very well cause I had just gotten to sleep and then received all the tech difficulties. Then got through but DH hung up my cell due to LD charges and now am waiting patiently on hold on home phone for an hour. Already on hold on cell for 45 mins originally. Good thing though is I keep checking POP availability for my week and still available.

Nothing has changed on my MDE profile. Then again, it never has displayed too many details. It was the link in my original reservation email that showed the detailed package breakdown.

Oh my gravy. I can't relax til I get that email. I will be shattered if, somehow, nothing truly went thru. My CM (Melissa) was amazed once she got in and was able to see my reservation (she had problems with it coming up for a second). The funniest thing is, I had my home phone up to my ear and my cell on speaker. The cell was the one that got thru. I picked it up (leaving the home phone going on hold just in case) and accidentally hit the mute button (unknowingly). I heard her say, "Uh oh...I don't hear you...Oh no.." and I was like "WAIT!! IT'S THE MUTE BUTTON!!" Ha....Oh wow. All this time I was consciously keeping away from the "end call" bar on my iphone and was almost done in by the mute button!!

Lol about the mute button...my CM said it would take a few hours for me to receive the email. It took exactly one hour from when I got off the phone with her for it to show up in my inbox.

No luck here. Was on hold for over an hour. Talked to a sweet CM who tried lots of options. Ended up keeping my POR reservations for October 21-26th with no free dining. Only other options were GrandFloridian for an extra $800 or Cabins for a savings of about $100. I think we'll keep what we have and keep checking online.

I got through within 5 minutes. The automated system was awful for me, as I tried brushing my teeth, getting dressed and putting up makeup (so maybe it was my fault!) Anyways, when I got my CM I was quickly disappointed as it was someone who moved soooo slow. I had 4 reservations to call about (big family trip), so I surfed on the site while he took his time. Nothing that would give us a discount on our already booked/paid for ressies came up. But low and behold, his slowness paid off as rooms must have opened! Saved less than hoped, but happy to have saved what we did. Patience is key to the world here. Good luck and don't quit trying!

Most of the websites that are posting this information are quoting the example of 6n/7d but other people on this thread have clarified and said that's just an example and it's a minimum of 3 nights.....I guess you could plug in your dates online and see if it works with less nights

Ugh! Our cordless phone battery just died on me - not sure why - never happened before and it was on the charger all night. Fortunately I called with my cell and landline - just not hearing the music in stereo right now.

Insurance is always nonrefundable. Doesn't matter if you cancel months in advance or not.

ThisIsTheYear, you will lose out on your insurance money if you book a new reservation online and have to cancel your old one.

I'm glad you clarified......the whole 6n thing seemed like an awful lot since past FDing offers have been closer to 3 and 4 nights minimum

Well, I now have three packages booked! My original at Pop, CBR that I booked at 4:30am CST, and a new pop because I decided the 400 extra at CBR wasn't worth it. Been on hold for an hour, so I'm not going to hang up. Will just cancel 2 when the agent picks up. Really wish we could have a royal room, but we are going to disney world!

Finally got through! Got FD at YC for 10/19-10/26. Just waiting now to add it to our friend's linked reservation! SOOO excited because YC was sold out for our dates so I had little hope of keeping our original resort! Also showed no availability on the website when using the offer so keep on hold if you're still waiting! There is hope!

I would go for 2 rooms at ASM online if I were you.

Just as I was about to pay for a new reservation I got through. She is checking POR now but said there is hardly anything at POR. Then she said she is having a difficulty and put me on hold. AHHHH

I booked online. Riverside Standard was not available, so I went for CB standard. Saves $55--we can sleep in a double to save the extra $55 and I am happy to try CB again. We were there in 1999.

I was also happy because the room only offer was only 20% so it was clearly a better deal to do the free dining for us this time Looking forward to trying the dining plan! We've never had it before.

Booked a FR room at WL last night - planned to cancel my other inthe AM.

I was on hold for about 30 minutes - updated mine to get FD (had to upgrade the room, but still a good deal and cancelled the one made last night) - hung up...

Because I wanted to see it in print, checked - he upgraded the room BUT DID NOT ADD FREE DINING!

Oh, my...rebooked on-line. Thank goodness it was still available!

Done.....roughly 45 minutes from start to finish. Got moved over from Septembers FDing to Octobers FDing and moved from AOA to POP. Also spoke to dining and got the age of my middle son straightened out.....so he'll actually show up as 10 now when we check in at the podiums for our ADRs . Awesome CM Owen (and I didn't jot down the name of the dining reservation CM that helped me but she was awesome as well).

Thanks to Black for starting this thread, I'm so thankful for early information.......it let me book ADRs and events prior to the release so I wouldn't be scrambling last minute to find availability .

Upgraded from POR to WL. No standard rooms available for our dates.

1 room (woods view) - 11/1 through 11/10 with 30% off
1 room (woods view) - 11/1 through 11/7 with FD


CM was great. He said system is running so slowly that his 'guest services coordinator' (i'm guessing that's the supervisor?) was going to have him ask me to call back later, but he managed to get both of our upgrades through. It took close to 40 minutes with how slow everything was moving.

There are now 1220 people in the queue. He said on Monday, with the rumored DV discount, the most they had in the queue was a few hundred.

While we were waiting for everything to update, we got to talking about the DIS Boards. I told him that a FD frenzy had built up over the past week, and he chuckled and mentioned how each day this week, folks were calling in at 7 am to test the waters and see if anything had dropped. He also said that from what he's seen so far this morning, it looks like there is very limited availability in certain resorts/room categories. Excellent CM.

My amazing TA jut emailed. A switch from ASMo to POP w free dining and a savings of 1037.07!!! Not bad!!! (2 adults, 5 kids aged 13,12,11,8,5!)

For those of you on hold/ wondering about the calls that start off with 'technical difficulties' someone does answer eventually!

My original reservation was for ASMo and I was able to change to POP without any issues!!!

Booked online and it took 15 minutes. Work connection is slow. Anyway, we are all set for Pop for 10/22 to 10/29! I upgraded to regular DDP for extra, but it will be worth it. I am so excited!

It will be DD's second trip. She will be 3.5 at time of travel. DS will be almost 2 and his first trip. His mind is going to be blown.

I was able to get Nov 13-17 at Coronado Springs with Free Dining, yay! I first tried PO Riverside, but they had no more FD rooms during my dates, oh well! And I can confirm it let me book 4 nights and 3 day tickets with the Free Dining

I think some of you guys are forgetting I do not have access to the American website... I am on the old website and there is NOTHING about the free dining promo on that site... and when I try to book online there is no where to put the promo code in... and no mention of free dining anywhere... HELP!!!
