We are booked at the Poly Oct 19-Oct 25 and neither the 30% RO nor the FD work for us since there is no availability left at the Poly for Oct 24 & Oct 25 so I'm locked out of any deals. I'm hoping that eventually things will open up and I'll get some kind of discount.

It's not worth it to split your ressie and do the 19th to the 23rd with FD and then rack rate for the 24th and 25th with hopes something will open up?

LOL, someone already said this exact thing. I really gotta catch up to the post's before I respond to an older one.

I know the MVMCP begins on Nov 8, I think, so I was thinking maybe they'd start getting things ready for that... I think I'd die if I saw it at Christmas!!!!!

I am pretty sure it wouldn't be much of a MVMCP without decorations, so I am pretty sure they have them up for the first day of that. They probably start the decorating as soon as they finish taking down the MNSSHP decorations.

Yeah, I know it is a huge endeavor, that is why I was thinking there may be some parts/places that have Christmas stuff up earlier. I have never been in Nov, just Dec.

Just had a lively discussion with a CM while trying to extend my reservation by 2 days that maybe someone here can help me understand.

I currently have POR Nov 17-21, but I want it through the 23rd. So WHY will they honor the FD promotion way into the black out period (where there aren't any rooms available for free dining anyway unless you check in with the promotion period) but they won't offer the FD for my length of stay WITHIN the promotional period. I understand they only allot a certain % of rooms for the discounts.. but I dont follow the logic in letting me have FD for my length of stay way into the black out period, but not within the promotional dates.

The CM tried to tell me that he hadn't been able to book POR for anyone during that time with or without the FD, which is a straight up lie because I pull up availability every time if I search on the website- without going through the promotional page.. ugghh .. just irritated with the whole thing.

It all centers around the "availability" as long as you check into the resort within a date that the FD promo is running you can get the FD for 14 days. The catch is if any of your days are not available in the rooms allotted for the promo then you can only book what is available.

Rooms showing up in the rack rate has no barring on the promotion as they are separate inventories.

If you can book the 17-21 I would do so and book 21-23 at rack rate.

Do you know how many pics approximately are on the cd and since they are on a cd can you take them to like Walmart & print them out?

I'm pretty sure it's unlimited. (I've never hit a limit)

And you do get the licensing agreement for the pics so you can print them out yourself.

You will have all your pics plus your edited/enhanced pics on the CD with the copyright, so you can print your pics from anywhere you want. Such as Shutterfly, Walgreens, etc. : ). How many pics depends on how many you have taken at the park plus how many you edit and enhance with all the cute WDW frames/borders and stickers.

Thanks Pluto & Mousemommy. I'm seriously considering it for this trip. We had some put on just the photo pass you receive with your package last year and they were expensive to get. Sorry last question, how do you get the cd? Do they mail it to you or do you get it when you check out?

Yes, it can be very pricey. I don't know if it has been mentioned, but make sure you order at least 14 days prior to trip to get the $149 price, otherwise it is $199. To get the max benefit I grab a photographer every time I see one and with the plus, photographers may spend a little more time getting extra special/more shots. And with the character dining and ride shots it makes a pretty good deal.

When you get home, you log onto the Photopass website and order your CD.



You use the voucher with the code that will be sent to you ahead of time (assuming you pre-order)

When did you pay off your trip? We're going Oct. 5th, but have not recieved anything, yet. We just paid off our trip yesterday. The CM told me we would receive things about three weeks before our trip.

I so wanted to go from October 27th until November 10th so we could do both parties but I can't afford that much time off of work, so our next trip will have to be a November trip.

I paid our trip off about a week before I got our luggage tags. Are you registered for the magic express with your flight number and times? I think you should get them pretty soon. I was originally told they come about 42 days out. I don't know why I got them so early.
