Anybody know how Disney handles late check-in? I assume (hope) that it wouldn't be a problem if I arrive for an Oct. 2nd check-in in the wee hours (say 0100 on Oct. 3rd)?

I think I've been reading this thread too long (I have actually read all of both parts... sad I think ).

We have a res for Oct. 5th -> Oct. 12th - no FD or RO that worked, but it matched school break.

Figured out if I went for Oct. 2nd -> Oct. 12th (two more days in the parks) I could save $937. That gets me Coronado Springs (never stayed there) standard vs. Riverside riverview.

So now I have to drive down in one evening (after school on Wednesday) and DS has to miss one class of import. He's partially online schooled, so that part can be dealt with, just two physical school classes.

Got to discuss that with the teacher involved.

Maybe I'm crazy.

I've been playing around with dates. Apparently, it is all weekends that are unavailable at POR, some weekdays may be available for those of you looking. I see that just 11-17 to 11-22 are available during the time I am looking.

I never got through today. I made a reservation on line with fd. But I only made it for four of us. Me, dh, Ds10, and ds7. It would not let me do ds2 because said over the limit. Does anyone know if it will be a problem to add him to our room while keeping fd?

I don't think so because children under 3 aren't really counted. I would call tomorrow or sometime soon after the craze has settled to add him.

After rambling on, moaning and complaining and gettign some nasty pm's....my TA came through for me Sorry for being upset and discouraged and for those who sent me the nasty pm's..and you know who you are...I'm not sorry. She got me Nov 10 as room only with discount...183.00 and FD the 11 - 17. A whopping big savings of $1025.00!! Now holding on to hope that disney will let us stay in the same room when we check out on the 11th and check back in....
And we had a chat...I explained my frustration and she knew all about it and said it was fine...that she had hundreds of clients that she was busy with and she apologized for the lack of communications.

It has been a long day for sure! So glad it all worked out!

I was able to get oct 26-nov1 to pull up, which includes a weekend, but no amount of date switching could I get 2 weekends (which is what I need, arriving on a sat and leaving on a sun)

It should be fine. There has been a glitch in the system regarding that for awhile. Just give them a call and they will fix it for you. Congrats on your FD!

So, the big lesson I learned today is that if I find a FD BB offer in my room. Take it. Don't think, just take it.

Well after the long holds, then being told POFQ was out of discounts on my dates, I was able to book a new room only ressie tonight online & saved $80. I will just use the old tix I have & end up out of sync with my daughter on our remaining days (blast it lol). I'll be fine with counter service for my trip & can pay that out of pocket. Slightly tempted to still book the Poly show one evening with the money I saved on the room lol.

Original pricing was somewhere in the 800's. I booked AAA at 720 and now went to discount at 640 for 4 nights in October.

NOW I have to try to get thru to them via phone again & cancel the higher priced AAA ressie. I did go from a garden view to standard view room - no biggie as they have the cement walkways in front of the rooms - you don't get much of a view anyway.

Yes! I will be looking for a BB offer also. That would make things a little less stressful. But I have enjoyed reading about everyone's dreams!

I would hope so! I've never booked a Disney vacation before, but I have worked in marketing, and for/with Disney in sales before, and I've never seen such a mess! If they wanted to create a frenzy, they sure did.
I had not seen any POR dates pop up at all, all day and I've been trying non-stop. You would know, just come take a look at my messy home and ask my kids!

We booked two rooms at CSR but now I see some royal rooms at PORR are opening up but it'd be about $350 more between the two rooms. Is it really worth the extra cost? We stayed at CSR last year and thought it was great.

After 4 hours this morning, another hour this afternoon,being disconnected 3 times while talking to a cast member and switching from a POR royal guest room to a coronado room, I just booked a new reservation online back at POR royal guest room. So happy we got back there and now I can sleep. There are rooms right now for nov 15-23
