I didn't notice before, but if you watch the photo, the lines change from green to yellow to red to indicate all of the stoplights. I HATE that intersection. What's worse is that 5 years ago it used to be the only stop light in the area (just a regular 4 way stop), and it's less than two miles from my house. Now there are about 7 or 8 stoplights between my house and the CFI. :faint:

At least they put a highway exit in between. That has been great! It used to take DH 10 minutes to get to I-75, now it takes 2. :)

I've counted 4 of us from WV so far here. On that note, I bought a super cute West Virginia shirt at Cracker Barrel with Mickey as a mountaineer with a football. Perfect for my fall trip.

Cute! I'll have to look for that! We love WVU! We are planning to possibly all wear WV tees for MNSSHP!

We are pulling our 3rd and 8th grade DD and DS out of school for a week. In my opinion, vacations are important life (and learning) experiences. In addition to our normal plan for Disney this year, we are spending a day at Kennedy Space Center (including lunch with an astronaut) and a day at Clearwater Marine Aquarium (where we will see Winter!!, do a backstage tour of their marine rescue center, and do a safari boat tour where they do net pulls and we get to see marine life and hear about how they record data on the marine life). Even more interesting.....does anyone remember my occupation???...and I am taking my kids out of school for a week. Like I said, vacations are important life/learning experiences, too!

Teachable moments are everywhere! I'm a homeschooling mom, and we tend to head in whatever direction my 14 yo DS finds interesting. :thumbsup2

I'm really nervous about this as well. My kids will be missing 7 days! (gasp!) because we decided to go the week before Thanksgiving and then visit family the week of Thanksgiving. D is now in 7th grade and this is a new school system for us. Other than regular orthodontic appointments however, she never misses school. :upsidedow

Again, teachable moments! Mine starts 9th grade this year and we're doing Geography for Social Studies. Up until our late October trip, and during, he'll be researching the countries from EPCOT World Showcase. And the continents represented at AK, although he fancies himself an Everest expert now. We'll learn to map all the continents/countries, the various flags, languages, etc. And since we're starting Spanish this year too, he'll be working on a few key phrases to try out in Mexico. ;):thumbsup2

Off topic but pixie dust is needed....lol
I have been a SAHM for almost 11 yrs and I start a part time job tomorrow....my stomach is in knots.

Best of luck tomorrow! Knock 'em dead! :cheer2:

CFI = Confusing Frustrating Intersection right?

We are duel schooling. Home school and traditional school.

My grocery store does fuel perks as well, and I used gift cards to pay for my trip, but can't get myself to buy them to us at WDW. Cause if you lose it you're done, that's it your money is gone. Where as if you do room charging if you lose your KTTW you can get a new one and no money is lost. You know? Ugh, I just hate to miss out on those fuel perks. :/

You can do both I believe. Use the KTTW then go to guest services and have them apply your gc towards the balance.

I plan on using gift cards for my entire trip. Fuel points plus we have a fundraiser where 5% goes back into my daughters cheerleading account!

That sounds fun! We're pulling our 1st and 3rd grader out for a week as well :)

My wife HAAAAAAAATTTES it. Every time I turn that or American Dad on she leaves the room. :lmao:

I don't like American Dad but I've been watching south park since it started. No topic is safe with them...I love it! Lol

Thank you! :)

I must admit - few books have been read since the whole FD issue hit the streets! I now read about Disney Disney Disney.

As far as the tests go, taking them early seems to work better for my students in most cases. That being said, not all teachers have the tests ready early - yet another reason for telling the teachers early so they can plan to have the tests done for her.

I plan to let them know the first week of school. Thanks again!

Congratulations! Let us know how it goes!

I don't suppose there is anyone from the Richmond area that I've heard so far.

I'm very close to Richmond, down in Williamsburg. If you'd be free for lunch or dinner one day I'd love to treat you as a way of saying thanks for all the help and information!

Finally got my inlaws to agree to watch my dog so I just booked...Coronado Springs Nov 15-20 could not get 21st, I am not sure whats going on maybe a conference...should I try calling?

I am going the same dates but until the 24th. The only conference I saw was a Lady's lacrosse group. I think that it was around the 20th. I am hoping no other groups book. I have never stayed at CSR but hearing stories has gotten me worried about it.

I totally agree. I'm a former homeschooler (still miss it very much) and for the first six months we lived near Washington DC we spent at least once a week touring. If I had known they'd be going to school for a year of our stay there I would have toured even more.

Totally agree. That was what I loved about homeschooling. My oldest LOVES history. She knows far more about the Revolutionary, Civil, WW1 and WW2 than her teachers. She can also cook, make grocery lists, and talk to people of all ages, socio-economic class, and ethnicity.

That's awesome. Wish that was an option here in Alabama. Especially for high school.

You should check your local public school and junior college. I know it varies by state but there is always a chance. My oldest only did it for kindergarten but really enjoyed it. She was then homeschooled from 1-5.

Bravo , i totally agree!

Question. What exactly happens when I pay the trip off? Do the tickets come in the mail or do we pick those up at the hotel? Any benefits to paying the trip off early?
