Sorry to hear, Kat. :worried: I feel for you...The last time we went to Disney (Dec. 2011), our 14 year old cat had a stroke and had to be put to sleep the evening after we arrived home, and buried the next day..which was Christmas Eve. I'm sorry to hear about your furry friend.

Ewe....that's horrible. I'm soooo sorry. Thank you though.
My niece is staying at our house while we're in Disney. If it was going to happen, I'm glad it happened now. It would have put a damper on our trip and I wouldn't want my niece to be put in that situation.

True. Of course, it's very sad that it happened to your furry friend, but it's better that it happened now. My friend was watching our cat for us when we were in Disney. Like I said, he had the stroke the evening after we got home. I called my friend (same one who watched cat) and asked her to stay with our kids while we took the cat to the emergency vet (bc after hours). She felt awful bc she felt like we were going to think she did something wrong, and I felt awful that she felt that way....and I knew she didn't do anything to cause it...he had heart problems and was on meds. We were all very thankful it happened when we were home...It was sort of like he was waiting for us to get home to say good-bye :-(.

Aww...I'm sure she did feel that way. Unfortunately, they're so little and they over compensate until they can't anymore. And by than its usually too late to fix them.
You brought tears to my eyes...your right....he was waiting to say good bye. <3

Wow, that really got me. I'm so sorry that happened but glad you all were able to be home with him.

Thanks. Our trip prior to that one was in Oct. 2010. My parents were considering coming. Then, my dad was diagnosed with extensive stage lung cancer and passed away in June 2010.....went to hospital with trouble breathing on Memorial Day 2010...found out it was a collapsed lung....following Monday was diagnosed with the cancer....the following Monday he passed away. While we miss him terribly, we're thankful he didn't suffer long. My mom still came to Disney with us.
Then, the Dec. 2011 trip is when our cat had the stroke....
So....we are hoping for a HAPPY Disney trip this Oct!

Sending happy thoughts and pixie dust. I'd almost be afraid to go on vacation.

So I'm here at Disney until Saturday. Is no one else here at all? I shall be at Magic Kingdom most of the day tomorrow!!!

We soooooo need our WDW vacation...46 days. The last 2 werks have been nothing but stress and it culminated in putting our 16 yr old cat down this morning. Hes been with my DH and I since we started dating. Hes been through moves, babys and he out lived pretty much every other animal we've had except for my 2 dogs I have now. Hes been our constant <3
So we NEED to be at our happy place.

I know what its like to lose such a great family member. I am so sorry.

Woohoo! That is awesome - grats, Joe. I am assuming you had a BB offer?
2 more days till I leave for FL; 3 more to actually be at WDW. Getting close. Is so hard to make myself go to work - and actually work! - today & tomorrow. I am so in vacation mode already!

Bounceback on the table in my room was for room discount. However if you call and ask, you can get either one. It doesn't matter if you have a cars in your room or not. Just dial 8844 on your room phone.

Seems like alot of our group is going through hard times. We are going after a major family loss as many of you know. WDW is such a healing place!

Hi again, Kat. I forgot that you're from Pottstown. ....My dad was in Chester County Hospital with the cancer. My mom still lives in Downingtown, and
I teach nearby. ....."It's a Small World after all...." :)

That is wonderful, I hope they have one when I get there in December. Only 82 days and 17 hour to go.

"have a cars in your room"?? Wow, you must have a really big room to fit cars in there ... unless they're matchbox cars! :rotfl2:
Do the bounceback offers cover only a certain time of year? If so & there isn't a BB card in the room, do you just call the 8844 number & ask what's available or ask if what is anything available for MM/DD - MM/DD/2014?
