The way I understand it , the FREE DINING starts this morning, open to the public... Are any of you going to cancel Fort ressies to do this package ?... Or are you going to keep your Fort ressies and book FREE DINING for another trip ?

Hubby and I were just talking about that - we've been discussing a tentative "just the two of us" trip for the fall, but we decided we'd rather go in October, camp at the Fort, and do Food and Wine than go in September and stay in a value resort for the free dining.

We've done that twice now, and while it's a great deal, it's not quite as great as it used to be before they did away with the appetizer and the tip. Plus, we just really want to be at the Fort, and enjoy F&W, and maybe MNSSHP as well.

I agree with that, plus the planning was insane and we ended up at or near Epcot 90% of the time. Too much of a hassle and too much food! Not enough time left to drink! I also agree with F&W. Great time. We'll be there the last weekend -- crazy crowded I know, but a great time!

I've been thinking the same thing.

I've been booking the cabins with free dining for people like crazy all morning!! :goodvibes

We have booked a cabin for September. We were planning go and already had a 20% room only discount but Free Dining is much better for our family of 6.

We booked a cabin for 9/7 - 13th with the free dining. With 6 people- all considered adults by Disneys standards... it saves us over $1400.

:woohoo:

I won't do it this year or next, but might do it (if still offered) in 2010.

I hate to ask a silly question, but what is the free dining? How do you get it?

Go to the top of the page of the Camping At Disney World (forum), there is a ad on top of the threads (first thread ad) , it explains.

I would consider it in the future. I would worry about crowds, though. This is the third year they've offered it and a lot of people booked the bounce back free dining while they were there in 2007. It's hot & humid, we'd have to take the kids out of school or go the last week in august before school starts.

We have 2 adults & 2 kids, so it's worth it to stay at a value with free dining vs any other discount, if you plan to eat at any restaurants.

How much are the cabins for that time of year?
