Free Dining in Jan

Does anyone remember if Disney offered free dining in January 2009? We are considering a trip this January and would love to be able to take advantage of this great offering...

WDW offered the 4/3 deal last January - pay for 4 nights & tickets; get 3 additional nights free. Free dining was not offered to the general public at that time.

OMG I'm scheduled for my contract to term out on 12/31 right now unless we get a new grant. I would love to go in Jan or Feb. Last few times we went it was September and *HOT* doesn't even begin to describe it!

Well, Depending on when in January, cold describes it just fine ! We saw lots of people bundled in scarves, mittens, and winter jackets while we were there for Marathon weekend. Coming from NH mountains, we were fine in t-shirts and shorts but mostly jeans and bringing a sweatshirt to the parks at night.

Honestly, I hope they don't offer any deals for January. I like it nice and quiet. They are offering plenty of deals thru December and messed with my weekend in September to have free dining crowds to deal with.

We have always gone to WDW in January. We are from a cold winter climate so even if it's only in the 60's when we go it doesn't bother us. It feels balmy to us!

I do remember the last time we were there it was sunny during the day, but in the evening it did get quite chilly. We were in jeans/sweatshirts and I was actually kind of wishing I had brought earmuffs and my gloves. It was cold enough we could see our breath. But we still had a great time.
