Free Dining in December?

Hi, I'm kind of new to the disney dining plan. I was just wondering if free dining is ever offered in December? Does anyone know?

Sorry, but no. It has never been offered any other time than August-September.

However, EARLY December frequently has a discount for your hotel room. Depending on where you are staying and how many are in your travel party- this is just as good as free dining.

We stayed at POP this past September for 8 nights and because of our family size we have to have 2 rooms. We had the free Dining for 8 nights and 8 day hoppers. The total for our trip was $2600.00. Free Dining saved us almost $1300.00. A room discount will never save us as much money as free dining.

I agree, the value resorts show the greatest savings for the free dining. But if you are staying at a deluxe, a 40% (or whatever a good savings is, I have no idea these days!) savings on the room can easily be greater than what you save on the DDP.

It depends on where you stay and what you would normally spend on food if you weren't on the dining plan.
