FREE DINING for DISNEY VISA CARD HOLDERS!!

Hello!

Does anyone know if you have to use your Disney Visa to pay anything other than the $200 deposit? I have been buying gift cards to apply to my trip (and now I am ready to, lol!) and on the website it will not give me an option of either credit card or gift card. Almost like the website is frozen up?

Any ideas? I plan to call here in just a bit to see if I can apply them by phone.

Thanks!!

As far as I know, you have to call to book. The only requirement is the $200 deposit using the DV.
(For those who had already booked using a different form of payment, they will need to put down an additional $200 toward their balance with their DV.)

ETA: You can make future payments online with your gift cards.

Is it just me or does it seem they are trying to move their "view" rooms. When I went to change to FD today at POR, the only way I could get it was to change to a Garden View. OP mentioned they had to change from a standard room at WL to a Woods view. Those of you who couldn't get the resort you want should ask CMs to play around with the different views. Garden view is costing me around $65 more, but I am still saving a substantial amount with FD.
I noticed when I kept looking at resort availability without any discount that there weren't a lot of standard rooms to be had at any of them. So it makes sense that they'd be pushing the next level of views to me!

I believe the poster who got the FD LM rooms because when I called at 8:30 this morning the cast member I talked to said she added FD onto my current reservation no problem and then asked if there was anything else I needed. My reservations were for LM rooms. Dumb me should have kept my mouth shut and I would have had FD for LM, too!!!!! But in my head I thought if she did that then they would realize the error, I would lose the FD AND I would lose getting the room I really wanted with FD because they would all be full so I said "Oh. I didn't think LM rooms were eligible." To which she replied. Hmmm.....(pause)......you're right! Dumb Dumb Dumb me!!!!!!!!

I have stayed at WDW resorts over 50 times since 1992 and have been on these boards since the 1990's. I have seen LM rooms mentioned a few times and for the world of me I don't know what LM is. Would someone tell me what LM is? Thank you.

I was told there was no availability at Contemporary, but I had the option of getting the FD if I upgraded to concierge level. No other rooms at CR or BLT for this promo at all.

Little Mermaid rooms at the new Art of Animation resort :-)

OMG.... I'm about ready to fall over. The CM is still looking into it and is chatting with me. She asked if I'd been to WDW before and I said yes, but this will be our first time for food and wine festival. Her response:

"That's the Halloween thing, right?"

Nope :worried: after we've been on the phone for half an hour she tells me there's no rooms available for that promotion at POFQ... After she charged me the $200 on my Disney Visa... I'm afraid to call back, who knows who I'll end up getting this time.

I am so sorry that you didn't get free dining at POFQ. I was actually at work on hold for over 30 minutes. We were already booked with dining at POFQ, and I had to upgrade to a garden view room to get the free dining. Keep trying, maybe someone will cancel. Good luck.

Any idea if you can use it with a Run Disney reservation? We have room booked for Wine and Dine at Beach Club and are Disney visa cardholder.

Thank you, I appreciate that :( We already have reservations at POFQ as well, but I'm not sure what room type we have. I'm gonna keep calling back every day until I get something. The lady told me I could always cancel my reservations and start over... I don't think so! I have all of my ADRs planned out and it took me weeks to figure them out. I'm just wondering where they found that CM at... cause she definitely didn't know what she was talking about.

Thank you! I called to make sure there wasn't a mistake and they even had their supervisor look into it and said I definitely have FD for a LM room, he said i must just be a lucky one who got it, the woman who I originally booked it with was so excited to tell me it was $2 cheaper than POP I didn't even question it!

Didn't get my resort of choice for 10/20-10/31...POFQ. Was able to switch to Riverside, but only royal rooms available....I'm a little disappointed, but excited too! Wanted to try the royal rooms anyway.

Gotta laugh though...'OK disney I'll pay you even more for a room upgrade if you give me free dining'. Guess they got me :goodvibes

That's the same thought I had when they told me that was all that was available at POR :) I'm booked 10/20-27 at POFQ and wanted to stay there, but there's nothing available... as of right now. I'm gonna keep calling back and hope they release more rooms.

I'm on the phone right now and am being told AoA LM rooms are included .

Okay, never mind. She pulled it up and said they aren't. I'm fortunate that a manager told me a few months ago he'd honor a promotion that came out even if it didn't include the LM rooms for me. I had received a PIN that didn't say AoA was excluded but it wasn't letting me get it.

Someone said they were able to get one this morning, but that person is the only confirmed one so far today. If you book one, please report back! :goodvibes

ETA: Thanks for the update!

Just got off the phone and was told LM rooms are not included in free dining. We had LM room booked and changed to Pop this morning but figured I would check one more time to see if we could get free dining at LM....no luck!

I can't tell you how ticked I am. I was on the phone for just about an hour when the CM was going to transfer me to Guest Services to get me free dining for the LM suites but then I got disconnected. Now I'm on hold again. UGH!

**Disney CM's are horrible. There is a note in the system from Winston that states that if a promotion comes to the AoA that they will do everything in their power to assist me. Why he stated it like that, I have no idea because he said to me that if a promotion comes out at the AoA that he would honor it even if the LM rooms were not included. Since he worded it the way he did, the CM is trying to tell me that they can't honor it. I mean seriously, if a promotion did come to the AoA, and my room was included, why would he have to put a note in the system about it? Does that make any sense?

Maybe she had a PIN to her name and just didn't know it? That could be possible, right? We have FD w/ LM room, but we got a PIN for it. Maybe once everyone starts switching their ressies over, they'll empty out and see that they need to add LM back the equation. Sure, LM rooms are enticing, but if I didn't already have the PIN for it, there's no way Id pick LM w/ no free dining over another value or moderate w/ free dining. I'm sure there's many who feel the same way and will be switching from LM to something else.
