Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

You're thinking about this wrong. It can come tomorrow, Monday, Tues, or Wed and you'll still beat Thurs' GP release.

You've got lots of potential mail dates to get a DV advantage. Don't sweat tomorrow.
I agree. When I called yesterday to ask if I had a UOC she said no but I should check back in April or May because there will be a a fall offer coming. I said ok I would call back in May and she said to check in April and that there are no set days that offers come out, it could be any day. I have a dv and I will be calling in the morning.

I actually love the park hopper tickets but just can't really add that in this time. Trying to get the most bang for the buck. Glad to hear that it shouldn't be required!

This thread has been great fun to follow, last year the free dining early canadian dates were not released until the third week of JUNE well after the release of the rest of the promo! Really hope i do not have to wait an extra 6 weeks to find out .:hyper2:
you can book at us site even if you canadian i did it in 2013 and WILL do it this year

Not understanding where the increase would be that much. We are doing 6 day tickets for a family of 4 and the Park Hopper only adds a total of 272.64. (68.16 per ticket). The Park Hopper cost is the same (68.16 per ticket) whether you have 6 days or 7 days so for a family of 5 it should only be $340.80 total increase.

My actual increase is a variable amount based on room and I took the higher amount.

Im my case would the increase would be the difference between the package that I currently plan on using which is a UOC I got for 25% off of MOD + FREE Parkhopper (which I doubt will be used at all with 8,6,4 yr olds). When I look at the POR GV room I have now and the discount is about $450 dollars. If I take that and add in the $350 dollars I would now need to pay for park hopper or water park & fun, my increase for the same room at the same time comes out to $800. This would be about the same increase for CBR.

Now if for some reason I needed to get 2 rooms at POP, to fit my family of 5, the room difference is $650 dollars, plus the $350 dollars I would need to pay for Parkhopper water park & fun, my increase comes out to $1000.

Just Disney math, but I hope that helps out a little.

Regardless we are going, and with the rumored dates was hoping for FD.

Yes . . . I did the same last year, too. However, there may be different August free dining dates as part of a Canadian offer coming out . . . possibly after a general North American fall free dining offer. If August is your go to time, then this may work for you. But like any offer, there is no guarantee that it will appear or whether it will actually be the best value for your family.

Has a Saturday release ever happened before? I just wonder if it were even worth anyone trying to call today.

Keep in mind that park hours for September will be adjusted in August once crowd levels are better known. The schedules realeased initially are very limited.

That's true but we have been in September for the past few years and the hours are greatly reduced compared to even August. Also, MNSSHP starts which closes MK to those without tickets to this hard ticketed event on the nights it occurs. I'm just hoping to save people $$ purchasing something they may not need/use due to shorter hours.

Thanks for trying to help me do the math. I was also trying to add in there what it would cost if the December 21 cut off rumor was true as well. There has been speculation that for those of us traveling in December, free dining would only be applied up until December 21, and then we would be required to pay for the remaining days. So if we are checking in on December 19, we would only receive the first two days. I was trying to calculate the additional cost of 7 days of the QSDP + park hopper to see what we would pay for two days of "free" dining. My math could still be wrong, but I know it's more than what we were hoping for!

I know it's not really that big of a deal, but it has dampened my initial free dining excitement. Hopefully, the fine print of the rumor proves to not be true. I'm sure things will work out in the end. They always do!

The FD offer is different from a RO offer. If FD is the special offer you book with and it is available on your check-in day, it applies to entire kength of your stay.

Last year friends arrived the final day of the FD offer and it applied to their entire 7 day trip, not just their check-in day.

Apparently BB offers can include anything from free dining to room discounts to whatever other extreme deals they offer. For example, I learned here that if I had just called the phone number when I was in the resort last year I could have had the free dining plan booked for this year already! Instead I'm anxiously waiting it's release, and my visa :)
So....they give you the dates for FD a year ahead when you book this way?

Yes, that's what has always happened with FD in the past. However because of some of the written info about the offer on the SA site, as well as some info that was passed along to a TA, it is possible that they will change that "rule" of FD for December check in dates. The speculation is that FD dates will stop with December 21st, period, so even if you check in during the December FD dates, you will only receive FD on the days you are there up to December 21st. This would be a very different change from the past, and one rumor some of us are hoping is not true!
