Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

Is this true for the Disney Visa or the general public offer or both? Just curious since this is my first wait (or more like can't wait) for Free Dining. I'm wondering how many mornings I'm going to need to set my alarm for 4:00 AM to check these boards or call! :coffee:
Actually, we normally hear rumors of what day it is going to open. So it will be pretty specific and you will know basically what day to call. Especially if you are waiting on the public offer.

That's good to know as we will be waiting for the public offer. Are the dates and resorts for the VISA offer usually the same as the public offer? It would be kind of nice to have a better idea what our exact choices will be. We are really leaning towards the value of POP or ASMu, but it would be tempting to upgrade to POR and the TS plan if it's offered there. I think it's good to be open to multiple options as it sounds like you don't always get your first pick.

I do love how the anticipation keeps building! It's pretty exciting!

They're the same offers. Visa people will post when things are full, etc so you'll have a better idea of what to expect.

I seriously am going nuts waiting on the announcement???
No Pins for fall yet being released???
What's the order usually when offers start?
1. 1st wave of pins
2. Then Visa card
3. General public

Last year it was announced on May 2nd, I believe, for Disney visa card holders.. so hopefully it follows suit this year and its not too much longer...

Yes, May 7th for general public. That was a Wednesday last year. Do they usually role out offers on a particular day of the week?

Yep, I was! They just took the cost of the free dinning off my trip. But then again, I didn't book through Disney that year, I booked through another travel agency. Does Disney not just take off the cost of dinning from your already booked trip??

Was the free dining pin you got for this year or are you talking about a previous trip? Disney doesn't automatically apply free dining to an already booked package, you have to call and get it applied and it's still pending availability at the resort and room category you have.

Nope, if you look back at the years previously there really isn't any pattern as far as what days of the week it's announced.

Ok truly off topic here, but I am working on our budget and these are my categories....

lodging, admission, airfare, tips, airport parking, luggage fees, food, souvenirs

Anything you see I am missing??? We are using DME, so no rental car fee.

I just switched to the Disney Visa Debit. Do you think I will get the offer? I just wondered how long you have to have the visa before the special offers are available.

Thanks!

There's no minimum time but I wouldn't depend on getting the emails from them.

Disney Visa advance booking offers apply to anyone with the debit or credit. The UOCs (formerly called PINs) have nothing to do with having a Disney Visa.

:flower:

Adult beverages are big in my budget!
We are normally not big drinkers, but this is our first adult only trip, so I am planning on trying a few of the mixed drinks I have heard rave reviews on. I included that with my food budget though. :) Thanks for the input!

Yes, it was for my 2013 trip. The card said to call with the pin code to have FD applied...which is exactly what I did. I guess I should have made that more clear (about needing to call to get the free dinning). I'm doubtful I'll get a pin this year, but you never know. Keeping my fingers crossed. :) My question in my previous post was just asking if we had to cancel our current reservation, and make a new one to get FD? I got a little confused by a few comments.

So I know that I would have to call to add free dining to an existing reservation but if I'm stuck on hold for hours would I better off making a new reservation online and just cancel first reservation when I get through on the phone.

First, nothing is off topic on this board, it just falls under "and a whole lot more". My budget usually has a limo service instead of airport parking because its not that much more for us and we love not having to drive and getting dropped off and picked up roght out front. This year though we found an offer to park our car at the hotel located in the airport and stay the night before for a little more. Also, our budget includes special events. We are doing MNSSHP, MVMCP, Pirates & Pals fireworks cruise, Wishes fireworks dessert party, carriage ride (if we can get POR), and Photopass Memory Maker package. We dont have luggage costs because we fly Southwest. Always ends up being the cheapest airline for us and we never reach the free bag limit.

Thats what I did in 2013. Booked a new ressie before the lines even opened and then just cancelled the old ressie and had the money transferred to the new ressie.

Do pin code emails have the number in the email or do you have to call and ask for the number. I got an email from disney destinations titled " check out this magical disney rate, Koffler family." And it has some rates for dates in december we were looking at. But I don't see a number or code. Also the prices quoted in the email seem to be more than what is quoted when I look the dates up online. Am i missing something? It is just confusing me. It has a trivia game with it too, so maybe its not a specific offer?
