Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

I had seen a previous post where they didn't have to pay a deposit on a BB. I'm assuming if you do have to put down a deposit it falls under the same refund rules?

To the best of my knowledge yes all deposit are refundable before the final payment is due.

Plus we have only done one bounce back offer in all times we have been going to disney.

I highly recommend bounce back offers if you plan on going every year, it seems to be the only guarantee for a discount, with out searching.

What? And miss out on all of the hand wringing and anxiety?? Crazy talk!

My husband and I were debating booking AOA little mermaid rooms as a backup until we see what promotions are released for fall. We know we're going for sure and this is a backup we could live with if there were no discounts that worked for us. They are currently sold out for our dates. My parents are going too so I would need two rooms. I've been watching several times a day for a few days for one to become available but no luck yet. Have any of you had the experience of being able to snag a room later when you thought they were sold out?

You don't have to put the deposit down right away, but there is a period of time you will need to or else your reservation will be cancelled. They had accidentally made 2 separate reservations for me, one I put the deposit on and one I didn't. They kept emailing me reminders to put my deposit down on the second reservation. I had to call and cancel it.

I have the regular disney visa. What benefit is it to have the premier with a $50 annual fee?
The regular DV earns 1% rewards on all purchases. The PDV earns 2% rewards for all restaurant, grocery, gasoline, and Disney purchases, and 1% on all other purchases.

We already booked with AoA so our ADR was 180+10 and even like that at 6 am 180 out I could only get Be Our Guest dinner for day 9 and lunch for day 8. Everything else was booked. I have been stalking the reservations looking for something earlier in our trip, but nothing so far.

Don't give up! They open more tables & people are always changing/cancelling reservations!!

Haven't booked the trip yet because I am waiting for free dining. I did already make ADR though. I can't believe how limited the reservations are this far out. Even calling 180 days ahead I could not get into be our guest for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I don't even care about eating there. My daughter just wants to see inside the castle. Any tips for this one?

What dates are you going?

And you were able to use that PIN on the already booked trip? Hmm...a girl can always hope. :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc
Yep, I was! They just took the cost of the free dinning off my trip. But then again, I didn't book through Disney that year, I booked through another travel agency. Does Disney not just take off the cost of dinning from your already booked trip??

To qualify for fd with visa do you have to have used the visa for the deposit or can I just use the visa for some part of the payment?
We are planning on mid-sept and I have already used a different card for the deposit but was planning on paying some more of the trip on the Disney visa.
TIA

When we get wind that they might announce the offer soon, people usually start calling Disney at 7am on the nose every day until someone is successful in getting the free dining offer... then they usually hop on the boards and let us all know before their phone call is even done lol

Is this true for the Disney Visa or the general public offer or both? Just curious since this is my first wait (or more like can't wait) for Free Dining. I'm wondering how many mornings I'm going to need to set my alarm for 4:00 AM to check these boards or call! :coffee:

How completely random!

I was told that pin codes are only for those who have traveled there before, but yet no one has figured out who or how they target those repeat customers to send pin codes.

We are booked already because we have saved and know we will go regardless of a free dining promo, but it pains me a bit to pay full price. Realistically I know something will come out (even if its just a room discount).

I am just surprised that I am not getting spammed by Disney more after being a first timer signing up for all these websites. Maybe they know they already got me because I have booked.
My sister has never ever stayed on property and has received at least three.

They'll have you make a fresh deposit and refund the original or just leave it to go towards the balance. You can always pay more, but at least $200 typically.

Both usually. The visa discount usually has the public date in it.
