Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

Just wanted to throw out there that I changed the number of days on our park tickets today using the modify button. I also cancelled another reservation 3 days ago, so they do work....SOMETIMES

Gah! The more I think about it, the more I'm bummed about the PH requirement. I really wish they had just upped the minimum night stay, or minimum park tix. We would never utilize PH, and think it kind of stinks they'll push it before being able to schedule fast pass plus for two parks in one day. Rant over. Still gonna do it, but not AS happy, lol!

So quick question, if we make it to 250 pages before the deal is released, can we just make a new thread called "2015 FREE DINING- Details in 1st Post" and then just update the post as we go? Maybe start with the rumors (and put rumors in bold), and then update it with factual info when the deal comes out?
Yes, do that. Lol

I like it. The only thing I would change is to put the FACTS in bold and red and the rumors in italics or something so that for quick reference our eyes our drawn to the pertinent details. Thoughts?

I have a reservation booked with a TA, but she is not really on top of things. If FD is released, I plan to just book a new reservation and cancel the TA one. We already have Memory Maker paid for with that reservation. Will that be cancelled and refunded or will it just be transferred to our new reservation like out dining reservations?

I am working all night, so will be stalking this board and the WDW website!

Question: I currently have a reservation at POR with the QS dining plan. If I am able to get FD, do I have to switch to the regular dining plan, or can I keep the QS plan? I ask because last year I booked after FD was released, and my TA said that we HAD to go with the regular dining plan (we stayed at CBR). The QS plan was not even an option for us. Planning our meals 6 months in advance just doesn't work for my family!

You have to get the regular plan. You can use TS credits as QS though, so it works the same as the QS.

I know I am one of those also in the minority but I prefer QS dining. I have never used the DDP and I am curious if I can change TS credit to QS credits, does anyone know?

You must take the given plan (you can upgrade, but not downgrade), but you can use the DDP as if it was the QSDP. It isn't as good of a value, but it's doable. They will deplete your QS credits first, and then start pulling from your TS credits. You could always check with park guest services in the morning if you have a TS meal you would like to do. They may have same day reservations.

You can always use your TS credits as QS.

I just used my "modify" tool to add a couple days of park tickets and to add the parkhopper option (which I was going to do anyway). It all seemed to go on without a hitch. A chat window popped up so I decided to try my luck. My question was simply if a free dining option were to become available could I use my modify button to apply the discount to a previously made reservation. Here was his reply:

"We do not have any information on any future free dining plan offers at this time. The best approach is to keep an eye on the Special Offers page at DisneyWorld.com for updates. Like many other Guests, you can always book early to secure resort availability and then if a special offer comes out later, all you have to do is call the Disney Reservation Center at 407-560-CHAT (2428) and a reservation agent there will apply the discount, pending availability of the discount at the time you call. You can even modify your reservation online through your My Disney Experience® account!"

Either Disney really keeps hush hush or they require a lot of lying by their employees ;) (notice, I'm not entertaining the idea that we are ALL off on this...)

Thank you for this. The last time I was on the chat window popped up and I thought about asking that too. Glad to know it might work :)
