Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I love that balcony, it’s so peaceful when things are busy, if you can score a table - don’t know if it would prompt me to change but I know I’d be unhappy if I hadn’t been warned, at least! Points for the CL staff!
Love that balcony too. It does give me pause about booking something there for the summer. @GADisneyDad14 did you get any sense of a timeline that the balcony will be unavailable?
Agree that I’m glad they are letting people know. It’s certainly just a small thing and many people might not care about it, but at CL prices, I like to know everything. 😀

I haven't read that other thread and may be missing something in translation with the original question, but I routinely book a room only and pay online all the time. I've never had to call to make a payment
Out of curiosity are you outside of the US? We're APs so always book room only and have never had the option to pay online. Wondering if maybe it's a US thing that we have to call?

Is it possible you have a ticketless package & not a true room only reservation? I’ve booked rack rate, AP, GP & BB room only reservations & have never been able to pay online or in the app for any of them.

I like to pay online for a reservation as I go along. I have booked a CL with Dining Plan -- making it a package.
You don't need to add a Dining Plan to make it a package. You are able to book what is commonly known as a ticket-less package. That puts you in a package and get all the benefits of paying for a package, 30 day final payment, and only a $200 deposit per reservation.

That is true! But I avoid calling Disney whenever possible. I have never found a way book a ticket-less package online. I usually call to make my final payment and at that time cancel the dining plan. It's ridiculous to have to jump through any of these hoops! More people would book if they made it easier to pay incrementally, online.

I thought the interesting part here is the psychological(ish?) aspect. Paying down a larger balance that is going to immediately be less when you axe the DP. I’ve booked a ticketless package for a family member before and agree they’re easier to approach - as long as you don’t forget the 30 day balance thing! There aren’t reminders, right?

Rather than responding to each psot idividually, I will just address all the questions here.

I am US based and booking here. I am an AP presently but I have been able to book and pay entirely online both as an AP reservation (with AP, bounceback, and other discount rates) and without being an AP. Maybe its what @Dave006 suggested. I don't know if what I book is considered a "ticketless package" but I rarely book any kind of packagae (sometimes, but rarely). I just go to the Disney website (almost always on my desktop, not any mobile version), search the available rooms and rates on the dates I am interested in, and then book when I find something I like. When I make any additional payments that are required prior to arrival, I just go back on the site and pay there.

That's so weird, we have 9 reservations and all but two were booked the same way via the website and none of them have the option to pay online. I had never even heard of ticketless packages before this, I'm not sure how you would even book that. Would love to figure it out since I would prefer to pay online instead of having to call!

You book over the phone and request it. You’ll know it’s a package if the Deposit is $200 instead of 1 night.

Be very careful. All packages are due 30 days prior to arrival and have different fees for changes and cancellations than room only. Disney is not as relaxed about them as room only.

I just changed my upcoming quick 2-night visit from GF RC to BWI CL after thinking about your post and seeing it had popped up for my dates - this stay is primarily to snack at FARTs, and I have a bunch of meetings to head back to my room for, so the proximity is a major bonus. I do have an After Hours at MK the second night, travel back will be less convenient at the end of that, but so much is closed at MK now that I don't anticipate closing the park down. I'd rather save my $ and stalk RPC for my upcoming 4-night trip in April! Really shocking to hear the cost difference for those 2 nights out loud, for sure, Bounceback rate or not. I have only stayed at BWI CL once, but like you, I was very impressed, especially with the CMs.
Oh just found out BWI CL manager is MOVING to GF RPC effective Monday.

I will miss her at BWI but boy does RPC need her!

Lene is moving to RPC? Good thing for my trip in April that my split is with RPC and BWI and not my normal BWI/Poly like I have been doing. I haven’t been to GF since 2019.
