Free dining Blues

I still haven't heard from my TA if she was able to get us free dining for our November trip. She did say she couldn't get through the phone the first day, but surely I should've heard something by now. I'm trying to be patient, but I don't want to miss out either. I'm tempted to go online and book the package myself. I hate to do that because she's been great the last few years. What would you do?

I was on the phone with a wonderful Disney CM yesterday, (after waiting 2 hours) and she informed me the FD packages for November are almost sold out. (We're going Nov 9-17). If I were you, I would just book online. Worst case scenario, you'd have to call in to cancel one of the reservations if your TA is able to book it for you. I had a pkg booked last week, and was worried that I wouldnt be able to have 2 Res under my name. Luckily I was able to secure a FD room as soon as it came online even with the other Res already booked. I say book it yourself and cancel if you have to. Better safe than sorry. Good luck!!

Just me, but this is precisely why I don't use a TA and just do it all myself! Call me a control freak but I want to know exactly what's going on and make sure I get exactly what I want!

I just checked and CSR has no regular rooms available for my dates. I'll check CBR when I get home from work. Feeling bummed!!! Would love an email from her saying she got one of the CSR rooms before they got gone!

Book yourself ASAP. If the TA is unhappy later you can remind her that she missed the boat and took too long to service you. Remember you are the customer.

The TA may be putting you off and working on the customers that are the complaining/hounding time. The squeeky wheel....

It has been crazy busy. I am more worried about the crowd levels at this point than I am the FD. I tried to get both the FD and the RO discounts offered, but they were gone by the time I got through. Due to special circumstances, we are doing a CR Theme park view and are not flexible so I have no one to blame but myself. Lake view tower rooms were available as of this morning.

Good luck. I hope you get FD fro the TA, but I would make my own reservation on line to be safe and then cancel once I got confirmation. If your TA is unable to get FD, then they should understand why you go with your own booking.

I was in the same boat. My TA came through, but I probably won't be using one again because I like to book early and change it around some. I always feel like I'm bugging her whenever I do a change. LOL

Officially...Disney is paying them. But they are unnecessary for booking walt Disney world. It's not that tough.

Seriously??? How rude can you be? I am very sorry if I posted in the wrong place. It was not meant to. Geez this is why I hate posting on the Dis......it always feels like I'm being personally attacked!!! And all because I simply posted in the wrong thread! SMH.....as you all can see I haven't posted as many times as the rest of you, so it was an honest mistake that I posted in the wrong place. And at this point if I get banned, I seriously don't care.....I have seen nothing but condescending rudeness by a bunch of know it all Disney Veterans. All because something was posted in the wrong place. Maybe the moderators need to start coming down on cyber bullies while they are at it!!!

And from all the complaints it looks like Disney is paying a bunch of them to not get their customers free dining.

If it costs me more to have someone else do something for me, I've paid for that service whether I paid that person directly or not.

Exactly why I do my own planning, scheduling and calling. Of course, we don't get free dining for the LM rooms at the AoA so I didn't need to bother.

Taking a question about your topic as a personal attack is a bit much. Veteran member of this forum or not, it should be well known how things on the internet can be misconstrued or presented wrongly, especially with the anonymity that is offered with it.

That said, I do not understand why one would think discussing a free dining issue would be appropriate for the rumors sub-forum let alone be it a mistake when there the correct sub-forums exist for every topic.
